LAUNCHING OF THE BOOK:
DESIGN PRINCIPLES FOR MODERN ELECTROMECHANICAL MACHINES

The book: *Design Principles for Modern Electromechanical Machines* authored by Engr Dr David Etor was launched today at the Faculty of Engineering Auditorium, Baze University, Abuja, Nigeria.
The event was graced by dignitaries from within and outside the country and was honourably Chaired by *Dr Reuben Jigah.* Senior Academic members of Staff such as Registrar, Deans, Heads of Departments and Professors from University of Jos, Baze University, Abuja, University of Abuja and Nile University were present.
Among other dignitaries present were the Founder of Anlele Channel News Magazine: Barr. Abdulaleem Haruna, the Executive Director of Youth Initiative for Sustainable Human Development in Africa: Mr Joseph Emmanuel Yaba, Pa Ezekiel Tsado, BNOC President, Mr Benjamin Airebor, Mr Jacob Tsebam, Mr Ezra Jigah, Engr Umar Aliyu and Mr Ajeaci Shuaibu.
Guests started to arrive the venue at about 9am but the event did not take off until around 10am when the Chairman of the occasion, Dr Reuben Jigah made opening remarks. In his address, he stated that he had known Dr David Etor since when he was a child and had watched him grow. He expressed how much he was proud of the achievement of Dr David Etor.
Dr Rotimi Abdulazeez presented a biography of Dr David Etor. In his presentation, he stated that Dr David Etor had touched the lives of many people especially during his National Youth Service Year at Anka in Zamfara State. Dr David Etor earned both State and Federal Government Award recognitions with his diligent service to humanity as a corps member.
The book was reviewed by Engr. Dr. O.O. Awodiji from the Department of Electronic Engineering, University of Jos where Dr David Etor also work as a Senior Lecturer.
After the book review, the Chairman of the event was called upon to unveil the book and he invited the Author along with his professional colleagues to join him in unveiling the book. When unveiled, the Chairman noted that the quality of the book was first class.
Dr Reuben Jigah then encouraged everyone to support the author by participating in the launching. He also stated that the cover price for the book was N5,000 for those that would be buying copies after the launching.
Many guests that were present, including family members, BassaNge/Nupe well wishers, Anlele Channel News reporters among others, gave goodwill messages and launched the book with various sums of money.
At about 12:10pm, Engr Dr David Etor was called to give his vote of thanks. He acknowledged everyone present especially his parents for helping him grow so well to this level. He appreciated everyone for their financial and moral support which contributed to the success of the book launch.
Guests took photographs with the author, Dr David Etor as they departed. The event ended at about 1pm.
