"1. Do Something Fun First
Many people with ADHD find it helpful to do something they love first as a way to get in the mood to do less enjoyable tasks.
Any stimulating activity you enjoy will do the trick. Some people with ADHD play basketball or computer games. Others dance or take a bubble bath. Set a timer for 20 minutes to make sure you don’t get so absorbed in the fun activity that you forget to do the necessary one."

A member of the Group makes these wonderful weighted scarves for adults and children. The scarves are made of soft minky dot material and have weighted beads sown in to pockets. Weighted scarves are commonly used to soothe the sensory perceptions of children with autism. When worn around the neck, the scarves exert a light pressure around the back neck muscles, helping relax and ease tension. They look similar to typical scarves, and can be beneficial for non-autistic children and adults as well. I have one of my own that I wear at home when I’m working on the laptop, watching television, or reading a book. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
