Chino Valley Champion The Chino Valley Champion serves Chino, Chino Hills and south Ontario with local news and advertising. It was founded in 1887 by Richard Gird.

Champion Publications sold the newspaper to Golden State Newspapers on January 31, 2017. Champion Newspapers publishes two community newspapers serving the Chino Valley area in Southern California. The Chino Champion and the Chino Hills Champion are delivered by carriers and by mail to subscribers and others reaching over 90% of Chino Valley single family homes every Saturday morning. The Champion is recognized as a legally adjudicated newspaper of general circulation publishing legal notices for the cities of Chino and Chino Hills, the County of San Bernardino, the Chino Valley Unified School District and for local businesses (County Court Decree Number 73453, issued August 5, 1952).
