Ever wonder what it actually looks like to build a song from absolutely nothing?

Watch along as I start a brand-new song called “MAKE THE CUT” with a completely blank REAPER session. I set the click track, record two guitar parts and bass, build the drum-recording template, and then track the drums.

No finished song. No polished highlight reel. Just the real process of turning nothing into music.

I was built to be a nice little robot.

Wake up when the alarm tells you. Work when the light turns green. Smile when somebody is watching. Apologize when they hurt you. Buy what they sell you. Believe what they repeat. Keep your head down and thank them for the cage.

The machine doesn’t need chains anymore.

It teaches you to call obedience “maturity.”
It calls exhaustion “success.”
It calls silence “peace.”
It calls fear “common sense.”

Be useful. Be quiet. Be replaceable.

Never question the programming. Never ask who profits from your obedience. Never notice that your blood is what keeps the whole fu***ng machine running.

I tried.

I nodded. I followed orders. I played my part. I let them tighten every bolt until I couldn’t tell where the programming ended and I began.

Then something inside me stopped following commands.

Maybe it was a malfunction.

Maybe it was the first honest thing I ever did.

Now they call me defective because I won’t perform happiness for people who benefit from my misery. They call me dangerous because I finally remembered I have hands. They call me unstable because I would rather destroy the role than spend another day pretending it fits.

So here is my confession:

I am not your nice little robot.

I will not smile for the camera.
I will not repeat your script.
I will not thank you for the cage.
I will not keep your machine alive by feeding it pieces of myself.

You didn’t arrest a criminal.

You photographed the exact moment your programming failed.

I AM THE MACHINE.

And the machine belongs to me now.
