Since 1946, the Chowchilla Spring Festival has been a cherished community event, featuring a grand parade, a coronation of the queen, and the renowned deep pit barbecue at the Chowchilla Fairgrounds.

This year, over 6,000 guests are expected to enjoy a mouthwatering feast prepared by dedicated volunteers. The menu boasts 9,000 pounds of meat, 1,200 pounds of beans, and 1,000 pounds of salad—all slow-cooked to perfection in traditional deep pits. Please save the date for May 17th for our time-honored BBQ!
