Hey, everyone!

I know it probably sounds a bit early to talk about Christmas packaging, but we're gearing up to create some new packaging for the holiday season. We want to see what would be the most popular patterns and prints. SO! I created a fun little google form type of survey. Industrial data loggers such as Lansmont Savers can provide invaluable information for packaging engineers on the harshness of the supply chain. However, these sensors need to be set up differently depending on the objectives of the project.

The Advanced Packaging Dynamic course, October 3rd-5th, 2023, is designed to teach packaging engineers how to collect accurate over-the-road vibration data, how to characterize long-duration breaking events, and how to set up decoys to understand the handling environment during parcel delivery. Our instructors have decades of experience collecting field data from multiple transportation modes.

Prestar Packaging, Inc., located in Falling Branch Corporate Center in Christiansburg, VA, is looking for a qualified team member who will be fully trained on all machine operations, including set-ups, preventative maintenance and repairs.

Prestar is looking for the perfect candidate to help the company grow and expand operations and capabilities into the future. This person would need to be energetic and a self-starter with a positive attitude and able to detect and recommend new ideas to help streamline any operation.

This position requires:
1) High School education or equivalent.
2) Valid US driver’s license
3) Technical experience in use of tools, and basic measurement skills.
4) Knowledge of electrical, welding and shop tools would be helpful.
5) Ability to recognize and implement processes for lean manufacturing.
6) Willingness to work some after hour time to set up or repair a machine.
This is a full time 40 hour per week position.

This position offers:
1) Full training.
2) Advancement based on your performance and desire to contribute to growing the company.
Income and offers will be solely based on experience, skills and attitude.
