What do I have in common with Theodore Cleaver? Like “Beaver” Cleaver, I had a nickname and I thought it was my name. My sister Cindy couldn’t say “brother”, she’d say Brubber. So my family started calling me Brubby. I truthfully thought I was Brubby or Brub. It wasn’t until my mom registered me for kindergarten. That I learned my name was “Leonard”(named after my dad). Thst story came to mind when a friend posted pictures of her son getting ready for kindergarten. So I was inspired to do my latest podcast about those early days of school. What’s it like to work in the same place for 35 years? Well, I know. On July 11, 2025 I hit a milestone of 35 years at my real job at a little convenience store on the corner of two highways in Christopher, Il. 35 years of adventures with working with the public, meeting new friends and watching 3 generations of families shop at my store.
