Just got done refinishing a cherry desk with jay.fisher.gr that my father built over 30yrs ago. It was a good time with my brother and fun to see how my dad built it. It took a lot of elbow grease to clean it up but now it looks as good as new! He originally used several coats of poly but this time I finished it with bumblechutes tung oil and then carnouba hard wax. It really brought out those rich colors, I love it. I just wish Dad was here to see it too.

This is what I did on New Year’s Day. Cut down a few trees and loaded firewood. One of the trees was ambrosia maple 🍁. That’s the first time I ever cut one of those down. All in all, we cut and loaded about 3 cords of wo
