Post Op Update:

Almost 48 hours post op and it’s rough 😮‍💨 I think I was so drugged up day 1 I thought I could handle recovery without considering anesthesia and meds would wear off 🥴 - I was prescribed Oxy but am pushing through with just over the counter Tylenol and Advil as well as my CBD salves in the muscular areas that are painful and uncomfortable

(nothing placed close to surgical wound)

I will say it’s painful - hurts to cough - tough to talk - swallowing is uncomfortable depending what it is - sticking to soft food and fluids - focusing on no caffeine and re implementing my supplements little by little

Toxic!!! We are 3 days away from surgery and this what it looks like today 09/23/2025 - as much I have questioned my decision for full removal- I’ve had to out way pros and cons - many people may say it’s just an overnight surgery you’ll be fine!

Yes, you may be right.

But I’m losing a vital organ that controls metabolism- body temp - mood - energy etc etc

And I’m scared and wish things could be different- feel@I didn’t do rough - but understand it’s out of my control at this point

So this happened today - and it’s not as bad as I expected- but will say this tumor doesn’t let me breathe- my heart muscles look normal - even for a big girl - my BP this morning was 110/60 without stress lolol - so all in all we are Cardiac/Primary Cleared for surgery 09/25/25 - I told my doctor “I just wanna wake up after surgery” general anesthesia is no joke - I’ll be out for about 4 hours - and it’s a scary thing - so thyroid tumor count your days (12)

Toxic!! Yes thyroid goiters can be toxic and have ALL NORMAL THYROID LABS!!!! In this case the 2nd ablation released larger amounts of cells causing my PCOS to go haywire and the goiter (benign tumor with nodules) to get larger versus smaller.

So next steps are COMPLETE removal of the tumor/goiter which has to include the thyroid. Para thyroid (little butterfly 🦋 behind the thyroid) will stay in place)

Risks:
MANY!!!!!

Primary risk is a collapsed trachea

But let’s stay positive- healing is a journey and a process that needs grace and gratitude.
