Celebrating three years of Scripps Sports!

When Scripps launched Scripps Sports in December 2022, we made a deliberate commitment to restore live, free, over‑the‑air sports as an accessible way to connect fans, teams and local communities.

In three years, Scripps Sports has built national platforms, forged meaningful local partnerships and become a home for teams and leagues that matter to viewers across the country, including the WNBA, National Women's Soccer League, Major League Volleyball, select NHL clubs, the Big Sky Conference and more.

“Our mission is all about connection. We think our platform is the ultimate platform for connecting fans to the teams of their local communities — and connecting those teams and those fans with brands that support them.” -- Scripps Sports President Brian Lawlor.

Brian Lawlor goes all in on building Scripps Sports’ broad reach, from women's sports such as WNBA, NWSL and Major League Volleyball, to local rights for teams, including the Vegas Golden Knights and Tampa Bay Lightning.

The E.W. Scripps Company Atlanta team showed up with full hearts for Clark’s Christmas Kids, an incredible program ensuring every foster child in Georgia receives a gift for the holidays.

We’re so proud of our Scripps volunteers who spent the day unloading toys, sorting donations and helping make the season brighter for thousands of children across the state.

This volunteer event also qualifies our employees to apply for Scripps Howard Fund volunteer grants — up to $1,000 twice a year to support the nonprofits where they give their time. It’s one of the ways we help Scripps employees amplify the impact they’re already making in their communities. This Giving Tuesday, YOU can change a child’s story. 📚✨

For many kids in our communities, the books you give through the "If You Give a Child a Book …" campaign are the first they’ll ever own. They’re more than pages—they’re pride, confidence and a doorway to possibility.

Will you help us give the gift of reading and hope this holiday season?
