Cryptid Critters have landed! 🔥

Three of West Virginia’s most legendary locals just stepped out of the mist and into glass.

Designed by Liz Pavlovic Design and handcrafted by Blenko, these palm-sized glass figures capture the wild, weird, and wonderful spirit of the Mountain State:

Mothman – Cerulean Blue
A mini version of our popular bookends. The winged wonder of Point Pleasant returns in glowing blue glass. Small in size, big in legend.

Flatwoods Monster – Clover Green
The eerie visitor was first spotted in 1952, part alien, part ghost story, and 100% West Virginia icon.

Grafton Monster – Citrine
The shy giant of Grafton’s backroads, smooth, silent, and shining bright in golden Citrine.

Collect your favorite or grab all three for a bundle discount!

Little overview of this year's Cryptid Block Party in Covington is now live!

It was a lot of fun, and I hope ya'll can join next year too 🛸

(I was originally going to post this tomorrow, but It actually didn't take me long to finish captioning this video since it was scripted out beforehand. I hope these captions are useful, I take as much time and care as I can writing them to make sure they're accessible for everyone. I'll get to work on the backlog of old episodes again soon too!)

This year’s Cryptid Block Party brought the strange and the spectacular to Covington once again. Cryptids on every corner, wooden photo-op cutouts with lore ...

INCREDIBLE: You won’t believe this, we are nearly 5 weeks from marking 50 years since the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. I’ve found and have analyzed detailed hand written ship logs and weather observations that are stored right here in northwest Ohio that paint a VIVID picture of the incredible storm that sunk the Edmund Fitzgerald. Very few people alive today have laid eyes on these detailed weather records.

I’ll share this as a preview, a log that confirms a “Bomb Cyclone” happened on November 9-10th, 1975 the storm that ultimately took the Edmund Fitzgerald down. The barometric pressure at “Soo” (Sault Ste. Marie) plunged from 29.92” to 29.09” in less than 24 hours.

My full story will air on WTOL 11 Monday at 5 pm. I can’t wait to share! WTOL is the ONLY local TV station bringing you weekly coverage leading up to this historic anniversary this November. Please tune in!

Strange Talk Radio

THE UNEXPLAINED, THE WEIRD, AND THE BEWILDERING

10-11pm Tuesdays on Radio Artifact

1660AM in Northside. 91.7FM HD2 WVXU in Cincinnati and streaming on the WVXU mobile app. Streaming online around the entire planet earth on radioartifact.com

Citing their mutual love of late night 90s oddity talk shows like Art Bell’s Coast to Coast AM, Jordan Davis and Alyx McLaughlin come together to talk about, well, strange things. Strange Talk has been on hiatus for about 4 years, formerly existing in an online stream only. Both occult and skepticism inclined, Jordan and Alyx are excited to be back to discuss the unexplained, the weird, and encounters of the eerie kind with local musicians and our frequent guest host, Dan Dickerscheid.
