Morning foodies! Saturday we went to El Asadero Mexican Grill Union a new restaurant that opened located at: 9196 US-42 Suite A, Union, KY 41091. That area is definitely getting a lot of awesome new restaurants making it an area to head to.

The atmosphere was such a vibe! From the decor to the music provided by a live DJ and the amazing service. Our waiter was so kind and attentive and quick to give us suggestions.

They offered an at the table guac station (we sadly didn’t get it this visit) and the margaritas were anything but basic with their cute decor and the fun way they brought the drinks to the table with sparklers and/or smoke. Even the children had fun drinks! Our little one tore up his food and we still left with plenty of leftovers!

Warning: the menu is a little overwhelming if it’s your first time there because it has such a large selection. So many yummy options definitely made it hard to choose!

Thirsty Thursday highlighted drink!

Miranda and I tried Downeast Cider House Cider Donut last weekend. With cinnamon, brown sugar, and hints of vanilla with a fresh pressed cider backbone. Now DownEast is not a local brewery, as it is located in Boston, but we were very curious to try it. We first tried Downeast when we last went to The 859 Taproom and Grill and we have been looking for Downeast every time we do a run! This one has Miranda and I wanting another one and wanting to save it to cherish it! The cider with the additional flavors were delicious and reminded is of Mutant Brewing's Apple cider we tasted when we were in Scranton PA! This is definitely a must try for cider lovers! As always, drink responsibly!

Happy Monday! Anyone ever make their own iced coffee with instant coffee? We were always against instant but recently a brand changed our minds. We started experimenting with the instant coffee when we aren’t able to brew our cold brew in the time frame we need it…and let’s be honest to save a little money. We love supporting local shops but we do have a family and need to save some money as well! Our coffee addiction can get pricey otherwise lol. We’ve been experimenting with different mixes and flavors. We are debating whether we want to film a few of our tries and share! Would you all be interested?

Recently Miranda and I had seen that Poseidons Pizza Company had gotten some angry customers who were yelling at their staff and making them cry. And we say, HOW DARE YOU!

If you have not had Poseidon's pizza yet, we definitely recommend it. The owner has recently posted about the ingredients they used that are fresh, offer fresh basil when you place an order for a pizza with basil, and each pizza comes out fresh and delicious each time! Sometimes it can take a little longer than usual to make, but it is absolutely worth the wait! Mix that with the fact they also give back to the community through a pay it forward program, pizza for school kids during breaks or unexpected off days, to even supporting local businesses and families in need. Poseidons is an absolute gem and they are absolutely worth the wait if they are running a little behind!

What’s your favorite Wednesday deal? Ours goes back to Bigby and their bogo drink deal! We typically brew our cold brew or coffee at home but it’s nice on Wednesdays to take advantage of their bogo deals!

Not Cincinnati related but if you’re ever in Scranton check out Mutant Brewing! We split the Philly Cheese steak and a sausage Detroit pizza (warning it’s SPOICY) and both got flights. We both copied one another and got the Local Apple Ale, Boring Banana Bread (that was anything but), Dumb Pumpkin ale, and their The WiFi Sucks that is a White Chocolate Macadamia flavor (yummm). The vibe was great and both the food and drinks were amazing. Don’t sleep on this place if you’re in town. We even took some four packs of the local apple and banana to go!
