Had the pleasure of mixing and mastering this fun song! Thank you Wackadoo for trusting me with your first release!

We needed the best ears (and claws) imaginable to mix Sell Me Your Love so that is where Michael Smith came in.

Michael has been a close friend for years, and was the only person on planet earth we trusted to mix this thing. His ears - both in terms of musicality and technical engineering - are second to none. He took all the crazy elements of this song and helped us achieve a final product that we are proud of. 🤝

New monitors! I remember some of the studios at Belmont University having Genelec speakers. These 8030 monitors are incredible. Thankful and blessed to have made this upgrade.

Today’s gear highlight is an obscure vacuum tube preamp - Peavey VMP-2. Smooth and nuanced are the words that come to mind when I think about its sonic quality.

This has been my go-to preamp for vocals. Amazing high quality piece of gear from the late 90’s! What’s your favorite preamp?
