💥TRIGGER WARNING💥
The language is harsh.

Coaches, Parents, Guardians, and just Adults in general we have GOT TO DO BETTER by our youth.

This was filmed recently prior to a youth football game. It was sent to me and I was SPEECHLESS. This CANNOT be what we are showing and teaching our kids.

If so what are your thoughts?

A church drummer is going viral after publicly calling out his pastor for allegedly driving past him while he was walking more than a mile from the church—and simply waving instead of offering him a ride.

According to the drummer, he was walking to church after he was unable to reach the church van driver. With more than a mile still left to walk, he noticed his pastor approaching in his vehicle and assumed he would stop. Instead, the drummer claims the pastor waved at him and kept driving.

Frustrated, the drummer took the situation to social media, questioning how a pastor could preach about compassion, fellowship and helping others while knowingly leaving one of his own church musicians walking the rest of the way to service.

The pastor, however, defended his actions and reportedly responded, “I’m not a chauffeur. He could’ve called the church van.” The drummer pushed back, explaining that calling the van was exactly what he had attempted to do but couldn’t get in contact with the driver.

The situation quickly divided social media. Some argued that regardless of whether the pastor was technically obligated to give him a ride, basic kindness should have made stopping an easy decision—especially with the drummer still more than a mile away. Others defended the pastor, saying church members sometimes place unrealistic expectations on spiritual leaders and that pastors shouldn’t automatically be responsible for everyone’s transportation.

However, much of the criticism eventually turned toward the drummer. Many urged him to delete the post, arguing that even if his feelings were justified, publicly airing an internal disagreement unnecessarily embarrassed the pastor and cast the entire church in a negative light. One user even commented, “If you wouldn’t expect TD Jakes to give you a ride, don’t expect your pastor to give you a ride”.

Now people are debating something much bigger than a ride: Was this simply a pastor exercising a reasonable boundary—or did driving past someone headed to serve at your own church reveal something about the very compassion being preached from the pulpit?
