Enjoy a memorable night while supporting a great cause! Part of the meal will be served under a blindfold, giving diners meaningful insight into some of the challenges faced by individuals with vision loss. And that’s just the beginning! There will also be a Star Wars–themed costume contest, split-the-pot raffle, games, and more!

Proceeds from the event help Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired provide vital programs and services that empower people with vision loss to live independently.

If someone you know is battling anxiety, depression or other mental health disorders, checking in on them can often make a huge difference. A simple text message, phone call or email could go a long way. Together, we can remind people they’re not alone.

Stop the stigma, start the conversation. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we are here to remind you to make your emotional health a priority. We often drink alcohol to change our mood. Some people drink to deal with fear or loneliness, but the effect is only temporary. When the drink wears off, you feel worse because of the way alcohol withdrawal symptoms affect your brain and the rest of your body. Next time you feel like reaching for the booze, spend some time alone with your thoughts, journal, exercise or call a friend. Together, we can remind ourselves and others that they’re not alone.

It could be a five-minute pause from cleaning your kitchen, a half-hour lunch break at work or a weekend exploring somewhere new. Put the phone down, stop scrolling through social media and work emails, and truly take a BREAK from it all.
