β¨ Spotlight: Dr. & Mrs. Bungu - A Legacy of Service & Sacrifice β¨
Today, I want to honor two people whose lives have shaped not only who I am, but the values I carry into every community I serve - my parents, Dr. and Mrs. Bungu.
Since the 1980s, they have been devoted missionaries at Mashoko Christian Mission and Hospital, the very place where I was born and raised. At a time when many would have chosen comfort or a different path, they chose to return home and pour their lives into serving our rural community in Zimbabwe.
For decades, they have sacrificed, prayed, healed, taught, and lifted others - quietly and faithfully. Their work has touched countless families, often in places rarely seen or highlighted. But these rural areas are exactly where the real magic happens - where hope meets need, where compassion becomes action.
Recently, Zimpapers TV Network came out to Mashoko to capture a glimpse of the incredible work being done on the ground. A huge shoutout to them for taking the time to celebrate stories that often go unseen. ππ½

My parentsβ journey is one of the biggest reasons Iβm committed to building strong, supportive communities wherever I go - including right here in Cincinnati. Their legacy reminds me daily that service is a calling, and that uplifting others is one of the most powerful ways to leave a mark.
β¨ Today, we celebrate Dr. & Mrs. Bungu - pillars of faith, compassion, and unwavering dedication.οΏ½Thank you for everything you have done, and continue to do, for our people. β€οΈ πΏπΌ
