Goodbye weddings.
In 8 years I captured over 60 weddings.
The first two years, I was still in college just trying to get a start. I worked that first wedding for free-- finding two friends with equipment to help. I had no idea what I was doing, I lost footage... It was rocky, but that was the start.
I continued to work as a wedding videographer alongside jobs after college. At the height I worked 20 weddings in a single year during a full time job-- and although I wouldn't recommend it, that experience taught me so much and landed me a career in corporate videography.
It's bittersweet, but after three years of thinking and cutting back, I've decided to close this chapter on capturing weddings and will no longer accept wedding clients after the three I have left. Instead I hope to explore new types of projects that challenge my creativity and build me in a way that weddings did these past eight years!
Finally, I'm really lucky to say that lots of the weddings I captured were complete strangers built off of referrals that trace back to those first few weddings. Thank you so much to all of the couples that trusted me to capture this day and let me grow in this little chapter of life 🤍🖤
