Hamilton County has finalized the sale of a large Downtown building. The former Alms & Doepke building at Central Parkway and Main Street currently houses county offices, including Job and Family Services.

The 147-year-old building started as a department store.

A high-ranking Cincinnati-based federal immigration officer will be in Hamilton County court Friday for a bond hearing.

Samuel L. Saxon was indicted Dec. 10 on strangulation, felonious assault and domestic violence charges. Cincinnati Police arrested him Dec. 5 after a witness reported seeing him put the woman he lives with in a chokehold.

The man accused of killing a Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy following his own son's death was back in court Wednesday. Rodney Hinton Jr. is asking for a new arraignment so he can change his plea from not guilty to not guilty by reason of insanity.

Rodney Hinton Jr. is accused of hitting Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy Larry Henderson with his car, killing him. Hinton's attorney says he wants to change his plea to not guilty by reason of insanity.

The superintendent of Mt. Healthy City Schools says sports, arts, and other extracurricular activities are next on the chopping block if the district can't pass a levy in the upcoming 2026 primary election.

The superintendent told community members the district can't make any more cuts to staffing or transportation, and will need to consider cutting funding for athletics.
