Update No. 1 for Saturday, September 27.
Why haven't Jon Vogt, the Cincinnati Bar Association, and/or The Cincinnati Enquirer chastised Clueless Connie Pillich for backing bad behavior by her assistant prosecutor like they did when Melissa Powers did it? 🚨 {Make sure you scroll to the bottom for a surprising twist.} 🚨
Flashback to one year ago. The Enquirer ran a guest column by Attorney Jon Vogt. I've attached a screenshot to this post. Because I'm not sure that the font is readable, I'll extensively quote from it.

"As a lawyer, when you're on the losing side of an objection, you respectfully make your record and then sit down. You win some, you lose some. It's part of the job. WHAT YOU DON'T DO IF YOU ARE OVERRULED IS QUESTION OR LECTURE THE JUDGE.
Yet, in a sanctioned breach of protocol, that is exactly what an assistant Hamilton County prosecutor recently did, as highlighted in a recent Enquirer article covering bond settings....
For Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers to back the inappropriate behavior of her assistant prosecutor and attack Judge Silverstein in her comments to the Enquirer represents a stunning lack of judgment and character. THE CINCINNATI BAR ASSOCIATION recently issued an unprecedented statement asking its members to "calm down actions that could incite violence" against judges after members of the Hamilton County judiciary received death threats.
The Bar Association also dutifully reminded its members of their responsibility to follow the Rules of Professional Conduct, which includes rules against attorneys engaging in undignified or discourteous conduct against a judge, and against making statements questioning the qualifications or integrity of a judge. For attorneys, following the rules is not optional. We all take an oath to do so when we are admitted to the bar."

So, when a smart-mouthed assistant prosecutor said something about Judge SAMANTHA SILVERSTEIN (who I'm told is a very nice white lady), the Cincinnati Bar Association took action. They issued an "unprecedented" statement to attorneys/lawyers. They reminded them of their responsibility to follow the Rules of Professional Conduct. (Behind the scenes, they most likely initiated disciplinary proceedings against the assistant prosecutor.)
JON VOGT wrote a lengthy op ed in the local newspaper. Enquirer Executive Editor BERYL LOVE and Opinion Page Editor KEVIN ALDRIDGE had to approve Vogt's op ed for it to appear in the paper.
One year later, MELISSA POWERS has been replaced by Clueless CONNIE PILLICH. 👍🏾
Clueless Connie's hand-picked Chief Criminal Prosecutor RICHARD 'Dick Kip' GUINAN disagreed with a decision made by Judge ALAN C. TRIGGS. 👌🏾
Dick Kip Guinan was plain wrong about the law. The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled that a judge has a right to review a grand jury transcript. (See, Daher v. Cuyahoga Community College Dist., 155 Ohio St.3d 271, 2018-Ohio-4462.) ✔️
Dick Kip Guinan was quoted in the Sept 8, 2025 edition of The Enquirer calling Judge Triggs' actions "illegal" even though he knew his degrading statement concerning the integrity of Judge Triggs was false.
Just as Melissa Powers backed up her assistant, Clueless Connie has backed up Dick Kip Guinan. Clueless Connie hasn't fired Dick Kip. She hasn't forced Dick Kip to resign (like she did to RYAN NELSON for exercising his right to free speech). She hasn't denounced Dick Kip's statements or made him publicly apologize. Clueless Connie's actions prove that she backs Dick Kip Guinan's bad behavior. 👊🏾💥
Where is WENDE CROSS and the Hamilton County judiciary? They stood up for Judge Silverstein so why haven't they done the same for Judge Triggs? 🤷🏾♂️
Where is the Cincinnati Bar Association? Why haven't they issued a new statement or even dusted off the one from last year and re-released it? 🤔 The Cincinnati Bas Association has a grievance committee. That grievance committee has been certified by the Supreme Court of Ohio to investigate complaints against attorneys who practice in Hamilton County. They can also investigate attorneys without an outside complaint. Dick Kip Guinan obviously practices in Hamilton County. So, where's the investigation of Dick Kip Guinan? 🧐
Finally, where is JONATHON RILL VOGT? According to the Supreme Court's Attorney Directory he works in ... wait for it ... Clueless Connie's office. 🤯
