So...Melissa had planned to break up with her bf after New Year's because all though she loves him for many things " the spark " was gone. Then yesterday he gave her an early birthday present - a cruise in the Caribbean. She of course is excited having never gone on a cruise before but she is not sure if this vacation is going to save her relationship, but feels kinda obligated to try now that he’s gone to such lengths to make her happy. What should she do? Break up as she planned or go on vacation with him?

Melanie needs tips on how to handle conflict. She says she’s always struggled with speaking up when something is bothering her, especially if it risks upsetting someone else. She usually ends up convincing herself it’s not worth saying anything until it suddenly feels urgent and overwhelming. She is at that point now with a friend, and even though she knows a conversation needs to happen, she is unable to get the courage to bring up a difficult subject thats been bothering her. How does she learn to handle confrontation without spiraling ? Looking for tips for making it happen!

Was he a jerk, who was the bigger jerk?
Eric says he didnt think twice when he ditched his date before midnight on New Year’s Eve, but when he tells ppl what happened, they think he is a jerk. He says he met a woman on Tinder and they agreed to meet up for New Year's Eve at an exclusive VIP event he scored tickets to through a buddy. When she showed up, she quickly got out of control - In the course of three hours, she flashed at least a dozen people, got into a couple of arguments, broke some glasses (two on purpose), and cussed out another guest. At a certain point, his friend who hooked him up with the tickets, pulled him aside and asked him what her deal was, and he just said, “Who the hell knows. I just met her.” Long story short, he snuck out before midnight, blocked her and doesn't know how she got home. "The way I see it, she was beyond embarrassing and wasn’t my responsibility because she met me there, I didn't bring her. Would you have ditched her like Eric? What should he have done?
