Through the summer of 2025 I worked as a photography intern for Cincinnati CityBeat; a local alt-weekly publication. This internship ended with me becoming the ninth journalist to face jury trial in the United States in the history of the U.S. Press Freedom Tracker.

As one Crosley falls, another has risen from its ashes. Though this time, the iconic symbol is not physically on campus. Its legacy is continuing in a way that honors the controversial and, at times, comical nature of the building — it is continuing as a UC-inspired satire social media account.

“The Crosley” is a new news-spoof account on Instagram that has recently been gaining popularity among students.

The U.S. Hip Hop National Team — which, in 2026, is the University of Cincinnati Dance Team — won gold at the International Cheer Union (ICU) World Championships on April 24, 2026.

In February 2026, the UC Dance Team was selected to represent their country as the U.S. Hip Hop National Team. Their victory bestows the team with the title “world champions” and is their eleventh time taking home the gold at the ICU World Championships.
