THE DUDE RADIO BATTLE OF THE BANDS FOR JULY HAS BEGUN!

The goal was to find 30 minutes of original music released this year and let the listeners decide who comes out on top. If you didn’t make it in this round, don’t worry. We’ll be doing another Battle of the Bands next month and will work to get everyone included eventually.

Sunday afternoon, we had the pleasure of checking out The Listening Factory inside the Gatherall at Factory 52 in Norwood, Ohio, and what a fantastic experience it was.

We got to see Sami Riggs, Aimee Jo, and Danni Nicholls, and all three were absolutely incredible. There were plenty of laughs, a few moments that got us a little misty-eyed, and a whole lot of amazing songwriting. It was a full range of emotions and we loved every minute of it.

If you’ve never been to The Listening Factory, it’s a unique listening room experience located inside the Gatherall at Factory 52. There are plenty of great food and drink options throughout the Gatherall, and you can bring them right into the show and enjoy them while listening to some outstanding original music.

The best part? Admission is only $15, and it goes directly to the artists. That’s something we can definitely get behind. Supporting local and independent musicians while getting an intimate live music experience is a win-win.

Huge thanks to Sami Riggs, Aimee Jo, Danny Danni Nichols, and everyone at The Listening Factory for a wonderful evening. We had an absolute blast and can’t wait to be back for Sami Riggs’ next show on July 10th!

Last night, we headed out to The Monkey Bar & Grille to catch Gee Your Band Smells Terrific, and what a night it was!

First off, The Monkey Bar has been around forever. I remember going there years ago and hearing stories about Sam the Chimp, the famous monkey that helped give the place its name. Lots has changed since then, and the place is absolutely amazing. Great staff, an outstanding atmosphere, and the food is really good too. We had the Spicy Monkey Balls, Fish n Chips and Boneless Wings. 🔥

So, We were there to see GYBST, Cincinnati’s premier 70s showcase band. These guys bring all the fun, energy, and nostalgia of the 1970s with an incredible mix of classic hits that keep the crowd moving all night long.

And move they did!

The dance floor was packed all night, people were singing along, laughing, dancing, and just having an incredible time. Absolute 🔥 All Night Long!!

We got a chance to meet the band and instantly found out that Not only are they incredibly talented musicians, but they’re also just genuinely awesome people. Seriously great people.

And to top it all off, it was Leo Dynomite’s birthday! 🎉 Happy Birthday, Leo!

Huge thanks to GYBST and The Monkey Bar for a fantastic night. We had an absolute blast and can’t wait to catch them again soon! 🎸🕺🎶🔥
