🚨 FEDERAL RAIDS ESCALATE IN CHICAGO SATURDAY 🚨

Gunfire, tear gas, and protests - Chicago erupted again on Saturday during a DHS immigration raid led by Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino. Officials say someone in a black Jeep fired shots at agents before fleeing, marking yet another flashpoint in a two-month federal blitz shaking the city.

No agents were hit, but the scene spiraled fast. Masked Border Patrol officers in camouflage fired chemical agents and flash bangs into crowds while detaining residents. Protesters blew whistles and shouted as agents pointed rifles, smashed car windows, and dragged a man from his vehicle in front of his 11-year-old son.

Ald. Byron Sigcho-Lopez accused Bovino of defying court orders and “putting the community in danger.” In the chaos, a Chicago police officer directing traffic was accidentally struck by a GMC pickup truck driven by a 20 year old woman, according to CPD. The officer sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where he’s listed in good condition. The driver was issued two citations, and the investigation is ongoing.

The shooter remains at large, and no arrests have been made.

Border Patrol agent Charles Exum testified last week after court filings revealed a string of shocking messages he sent after shooting Marimar Martinez in Brighton Park on Oct. 4.

Just 24 hours after the shooting, Exum texted, “Cool, I’m up for another round of **** around and find out. Lmao.” He later shared a Guardian article about the incident in a Signal chat and bragged, “I fired 5 rounds and she had 7 holes. Put that in your book, boys.”

He texted his wife, “Oh well, it is what it is,” and told his brother, “Sweet. My 15 mins of fame. Lmao.” He admitted he turned on his body camera after the shooting because he “didn’t want to be a target” if people saw it recording.

Then, just weeks later, DHS officials accused someone of firing shots at agents during an aggressive immigration raid in Little Village, led by Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino. No one was injured, but witnesses and Ald. Byron Sigcho-Lopez say agents in camouflage fired chemical agents into a crowd protesting as at least three people were detained.

Different incidents. Same agency. Same city.
Federal power and public trust are clashing on Chicago’s streets and the line between enforcement and chaos keeps getting thinner.

Trump’s Truth Social post about “ending Obamacare” and “sending money directly to the people” sounds simple, but the reality isn’t. The Affordable Care Act is federal law, not an executive policy he can just erase or redirect money from. Changing how it’s funded or how subsidies are distributed would require Congress to pass a new law, not just an order from the White House.

The ACA is still in effect and covers more than 40 million Americans. It sets the rules for how private insurance works, helps lower income families pay for coverage, and protects people with pre-existing conditions. “Sending the money directly to people” isn’t a real plan. It’s a talking point that’s been around for years with no clear replacement or protection for those who would lose coverage.

Congress tried to repeal the ACA multiple times when Trump was in office and failed every time. The law remains because tearing it down without a full replacement would collapse parts of the healthcare system and strip coverage from millions. This post isn’t a new idea, it’s just the same political noise dressed up like a solution.

🚨 SNAP UPDATE: The Supreme Court has temporarily blocked a lower court’s order that would’ve forced the Trump administration to pay full SNAP (food aid) benefits during the ongoing government shutdown.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson issued the administrative stay late Thursday, pausing the Rhode Island court’s ruling that required the government to release $4 billion in full SNAP benefits for November.

The stay gives the First Circuit Court of Appeals time to review the case. For now, that means the administration can continue issuing only partial SNAP payments while the legal battle continues.

This decision impacts over 42 million Americans relying on food assistance this month.

🚨 BREAKING: Federal Judge BLOCKS Trump’s Attempt to Deploy Oregon National Guard

A federal court just ruled that the President cannot send Oregon’s National Guard into the state without a legal basis, siding fully with Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield and the City of Portland.

🚨 A federal judge just ruled that a U.S. government department violated its employees’ First Amendment rights by using their official email accounts to send out partisan messages during the shutdown.

The judge said federal workers serve the public, not politicians, and that nonpartisanship is the bedrock of our civil service.

In short — the government can’t use career employees as political mouthpieces. The court ordered the department to cease all partisan communications immediately.

The MAGA-aligned congresswoman launched her campaign vowing to make the state “affordable and safe for all,” blasting what she called the “catastrophe” under Democratic leadership.

But Stefanik’s record is already under fire- she’s an election denier who voted to overturn 2020 results and has refused to commit to certifying future elections. She’s even said she “would not have done what Mike Pence did” on Jan. 6, referring to certifying Biden’s win.
