CONGRATULATIONS to Valeria Anderson on being awarded the 2025 FMEA Distinguished Service Award!!!

For those of you who are not aware, Val is the Director of Operations at The Florida Music Education Association.
Director of Operations In short, she runs FMEA. I mean FMEA. from coordinating the All-State Conference, which is HUGE! She makes sure the State Music Magazine gets off to press on time. She coordinated and over sees the exhibition, AND she is tasked with ensuring Dr. Sanz, the Executive Director is fully informed of items necessary for Dr. Sanz to be the Liason to the State Legislature. She also coordinates the Summer Conference as well as the Florida School Music Association. PLUS MORE!

To say she is a tireless worker, would diminish what she does.

She is an incredible human being. Kind, generous, gracious, STERN (when necessary) and simply an amazing person!

+I am proud to call her a friend!

Val has been with FMEA/CFAE since 2003. As Director of Operations, she is responsible for contract management and various other duties of FMEA. Val received a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida A&M University and a certificate in Organizational Management through the Institute for Organizational Management (a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce) at Villanova University. She is a member of the Florida Society of Association Executives where she serves on the Education Committee and the American Society of Association Executives.

Typologist, Typsetter, Graphic Design and layout

TYPOLOGIST / LAYOUT / GRAPHIC ARTIST NEEDED

MARK CUSTOM RECORDING SERVICE INC., in Clarence, NY is a small family-owned classical record label, recording studio and audio/video manufacturing company with an international reputation for high quality audio/video recordings, production and service. We are looking for an energetic in-person (Monday-Friday 9AM to 5PM), Full Time Typesetter / Graphic Design - Layout Artist, for immediate hire, to join our team.

We are MacIntosh computer based. Applicant must be proficient in InDesign, (Adobe Creative Suite programs such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office applications.

Applicant must have the ability to perform layout and light design for CDs, DVDs, forms, ads, posters, flyers, web design and all aspects of art design for the music industry. Proofing, preflight, troubleshooting and preparing jobs for offset press printing and in-house print, cutting and scoring is required. Knowledge and experience in web application, CSS and HTML is helpful. A classical music background is a major plus.

Strong communication and customer service skills are necessary as you will be in contact with clients and vendors to coordinate project details and delivery through email and verbally.

Candidate must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities. Must be production-oriented with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, having a high attention to detail and follow-through.

A minimum of 2 years of full-time graphic/pre-press production experience is required. However, based on your in-person interview, we may accept a lesser experienced person. Salary is commensurate with experience.

It's going to be a GREAT day!
