REVISED UPDATE AT 10:53 A.M. - 6/22/2026 - THERE IS A DELAY! TxDOT reports the striping machine has malfunctioned and re-opening the highway will be delayed until it can be fixed, but it likely will not be today. We will post more information when it becomes available.

UPDATE: TxDOT says crews are working to fully reopen US 287 in downtown as well as downtown intersections today following the completion of the bridge project between Kearney and Gorst streets. Drivers are cautioned to watch out for various lane closures throughout the day as workers move barricades. Barring any delays, the highway is expected to be fully open by 5:00 p.m. today.
