A false report of ‘shots fired’ on the WVU downtown campus in Morgantown is under investigation.

At around 7:40 a.m., the campus alert system warned students, faculty, and residents about shots fire near the Wise Library along University Avenue.

The all-clear was given at 8:06 a.m.

Majestic Care, an affiliate of Marx Development, will be operating the nursing homes. Majestic Care CEO Paul Pruitt said their plans are still in the development stage but they don’t plan to move any of the residents from their current home locations.
