If Walmart were to leave Clarksdale today our entire county would be dead. That’s why we’ve partnered with Michelle Obama’s nonprofit “Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA)” to center community voices going forward. Over the next 5 years, PHA will dedicate hundreds of thousands of dollars towards strengthening the food environment in the MS Delta and we need your help!

Please take this 8-10 minute survey below to aid local grocery retailers, farmers, food producers, developers, and Partnership for a Healthier America in better serving the Clarksdale-Coahoma County area. Your input goes to Revitalizing All of Clarksdale from the ground up ⬆️

Clarksdale, MS residents are strongly encouraged to fill out this survey to help inform us on how our food systems need to change in order to encourage healthier lifestyles. Nutrition is the basis of quality of life for every individual. Food insecurity, child hunger and food access are issues in the Delta that contribute significantly to poor generational health and low quality living.

preparing me and so many young people like me to bring ideas and perspectives that our nation has never seen. The music, industry and people of the Delta has shaped the culture of our country in ways not many of us young Deltans have been told. Many of my generation are bred to believe the best thing we can do is leave. I say the best thing we can do is take charge and ownership of the wealth and prosperity that have yet to be claimed here. Right now I’m working for my younger cousins, nieces and nephews. Maybe one day my kids will enjoy this in ways I couldn’t dream of. MY Delta is rising.❤️
