Since its beginning, the Wagon Wheel was established as a place where the entire family could sit down and enjoy home cooking in a friendly atmosphere. It was a place where friendships were developed and everyone felt welcome. It was at some point during those early years that our family started dining here. In fact, on our very first visit here, we ate lunch with our only two children, Danny in h

is military uniform. Time, like it has a way of doing, changes things. Danny is no longer in the military. We have grown from a young family with two children, to a “still young” family with five children and currently three grandchildren. One thing that time hasn’t changed, however, was the friendships that were formed while sitting in Mara’s Wagon Wheel eating breakfast or lunch. So, when Liz Ford approached us about wanting to retire from the restaurant business, we jumped at the opportunity to step in. We couldn’t imagine our family not having a place to go and experience the atmosphere that we had grown to love over the years. Maria’s Wagon Wheel is now Wagon Wheel Cotterell’s Family Restaurant. The menu has changed, as we have added some things that we hope will end up being community favorites. We’ve even done a little remodeling. But, hopefully, the atmosphere will remain that of a place where the entire family feels welcome, people can enjoy great meal, and friendships will continue to be developed.
