Lately, baking has felt more like pressure than passion.

I had to walk away, there was no other option.
I thought I knew what burnout was. Like oh I’m tired, I need a break, I’ll bounce back. Cute. Then burnout actually hit me and my brain said yeah… we’re done here. Not negotiable. I lost the ability to function like a normal human and at one point I was fighting dissociation just to finish a cake. A cake. That was my wake up call. It honestly felt like I was in danger, like something in me was about to snap, and that scared the s**t out of me.
So I walked away. I put my phone on DND, limited who could reach me, and stopped acting like I owed the world constant access to me. If it was important, you knew how to reach me. If you were mad about it, you could stay mad. Real burnout doesn’t bounce back in a weekend, it lingers and rewires your brain. I’m over 6 months out and still not fully back, and that’s after cutting my workload by about 70 percent. I will never let myself get to that point again. Not for money, not for expectations, not for anybody. I knew I was very close to a mental break. I love y'all so much! Y'all take care of yourselves! ❤️

MR Custom Cakes is officially closed for orders until further notice.
After a lot of thought, I’m shifting my focus fully into my new career and leveling up in a different direction. I’ve poured my heart into every single order, but right now it’s time to choose me and what’s next.
To everyone who supported, ordered, referred, and hyped me up… I appreciate you more than you know. 💛
This isn’t goodbye forever, but for now?
