While in East Nashville for a hot Sunday baseball game, Gail and Kacie went in search of a coffee pick-me-up. Surefire popped up on the map and was open until 6 PM, which felt like a win on a Sunday. They stopped by the mobile drive-thru location and grabbed iced coffees that were the perfect mix of cooling and caffeine.

Surefire Coffee Co. also has a brick-and-mortar shop in Germantown and a limited menu of sandwiches for when you need more than just a drink. The name “Surefire” comes from the history of the building itself, which they renovated after a fire.

Another great example of how local businesses bring unique stories and flavors to the community.

A Tennessee Gem 🥃🍷

Shoutout to our follower Rissa Davenport for sending us this hidden spot! 🙌

We stopped into Mystic Picnic Wine & Whiskey Bar in Springfield, TN—and wow, it did not disappoint. The space is chic yet cozy, with a welcoming bar up front and the perfect seating for a relaxed night out.

Their menu is full of whiskey, wine, and more favorites, plus a bourbon list that’ll impress any local. Even on a busy night, the bartender took time to answer questions and offer recommendations—true LOCAL service!

Food is limited but pairs perfectly with cocktails. Our tip: grab drinks at Mystic Picnic, then head to the Depot Bar & Grill nearby for dinner.

Kacie's daughter MacKynzie recently had a birthday. When asked what she would like to eat for her special day, her immediate answer was 'Firecracker Chicken from Arapaap '... there was no hesitation!

Kacie and Melanie stopped by this cute downtown restaurant in Clarksville, TN to grab a lunch for sweet MacKynzie. It has been a while since we have been here but the Arapaap team remembered exactly what she wanted, down to every last detail.

This is what supporting LOCAL is all about. People that know you by your order and care enough to remember every last detail.

Happy birthday to our sweet friends over at Cafe Gilly!!!

🎉 August is a month of celebration here at Cafe Gilly. We are so grateful to be celebrating our 2 year anniversary this month as well as some special birthdays! 🎉

Our featured pup this month is HOYT and this handsome boy shares his birthday with co-owner Melanie.

10% of the sales of the HOYT will be donated to the Humane Society of Dickson County.

Are you into positive vibes and playtime all the time? Hoyt is your boy! Hoyt is a boxer mix with an estimated birthday of 08/31/2023. This guy is sunshine on four paws, he loves anything and everything! Hoyt is one of the most outgoing pups around, he makes friends so easily and loves to be a social butterfly! Since he is still young, he is full of life and a drive to play all day. Although he may not be as fixated on toys like some pups can be, he loves to run and play "tag" with the best of them! Hoyt is overall a fun, silly, and lovable pup! He does great in the company of other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any in the home. He has not yet been tested with cats.

Hoyt is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped, and weighs in around 45lbs. His adoption fee is $175.

One of our team members recently made a stop at a Murfreesboro classic—Demos’ Restaurant (Murfreesboro Location) —to grab some food for the road and a little extra comfort to take home.

Having grown up eating at Demos’, it’s one of her longtime favorites. This time, she ordered the mozzarella chicken (marinara on the side—no mess while driving!), a half order of cheese toast, and of course, a quart of their baked chicken and rice soup—her go-to comfort food for years.

Fun fact: back before meal delivery services were a thing, her mom once drove from Wi******er to Murfreesboro just to pick up that soup when she was sick. 🧡 That’s the kind of local love we live for.

Everything was as delicious as ever, and we love that you can now order their famous soup, seasonings, lasagna, pot roast, and more straight from their website and deliverable anywhere in the Continental US.

While Murfreesboro will always be the original favorite for some of us, Demos’ also has locations in Lebanon and Hendersonville, so there’s more than one way to enjoy a comforting plate (or bowl).
