Thank you for choosing LOCAL Clarksville, and we hope you have a wonderful time discovering all that our community has to offer. Let's set out some ground rules so we all know how to play.

1.) Let's be nice to each other. :) It's the only way this whole thing is going to work. And it's a basic skill we learned way back in elementary school. So we like the mantra Be Kind whenever possible. And we think it's most always possible.

2.) Be respectful of our local businesses. It's a tough world running your own business. Collectively we could write a book on the DON'Ts of business and the hard knocks....but we are trying to highlight the DO's. We appreciate your experiences but we are not managment. So let's keep the bashing to a minimum. We're trying to have FUN here. And bashing is the opposite of FUN for us. That's not to say your honest opinion will be squashed or suppressed. But there is an acceptable way to voice that opinion. And a way that is not so cool. We reserve the right to remove comments & images that we deem counterproductive to our mission as a whole. But we don't want to so please refer back to rules 1 & 2. :) And that's it. Enjoy and always remember to Think LOCAL First!

Clarksville locals, have you visited El Dorado Market?

Javier Torres from Puerto Rico and Leyber Carozza from Venezuela took over the market almost a year ago and spent months refreshing the space, creating a clean, welcoming environment for the community.

Inside, you’ll find fresh Amish-grown produce, a full-service butcher with pre-cut or cut-to-order beef and pork, and a variety of Latino and American products throughout the store. Stop by for fresh tacos, carnitas, pupusas, or chicharrón. The market also offers everyday services like lottery tickets, money transfers, and check cashing.

Javier and Leyber are often on-site and eager to help, making the shopping experience personal and friendly. Whether you’re picking up ingredients for a meal or just exploring, El Dorado Market is a local spot worth checking out.

Give them a follow, El Dorado Market, for location, hours, and specials.
Let them know LOCAL said hi. 🧡

There aren’t many things more Clarksville local than a class reunion, and Joziah (a LOCAL favorite with his 'Where is Joziah' segments) recently celebrated his 13-year reunion at Varsity Pins. It was a great chance to reconnect with familiar faces, share old memories, and create a few new ones along the way.

With pizza, snacks, duckpin bowling, and arcade games, Varsity Pins offered the full party experience for the group.

If you’re planning a get-together, reunion, or just want a fun night out, check out this LOCAL spot and see what they offer. As always, eat, shop, and play LOCAL!

Small Business Saturday is coming up, and there’s no better time to shop, eat, and play small right here in Clarksville.

If you’re on the hunt for a unique gift, a one-of-a-kind toy, something meaningful for a loved one, or even a little treat-yourself moment our local shops and makers have you covered. When you shop local, you’re not just checking names off a list… you’re supporting your neighbors, strengthening Clarksville’s creative community, and finding things you simply won’t get at the big-box stores.

To make your shopping a little easier, here are a few LOCAL businesses hosting events leading up to Small Business Saturday specials, pop-ups, and craft fairs. And if you know of more, drop them in the comments so we can share the love!

As we head into Thanksgiving week, let’s show up for the heart of our city.

Shop small.
Eat small.
Play small.

Getting ready for the holidays but your space does not feel ready for you?

Check out this LOCAL REVIEW from LOCAL, Courtney Richards:
"Bethany and Makayla were such a dream to work with. My best friend actually booked our initial consult with Bethany as an early baby present (we are about to be welcoming baby number 3). I was feeling so overwhelmed trying to figure out how to organize our house and make space for another child and Bethany had everything figured out and executed in 2 days …. this might be one of the best baby gifts I have ever gotten 😂!

She gave us a quote and stayed within our budget. She was so considerate and conscious in trying to use any organizational items I already had to keep the cost down but also had products on hand as needed. They took multiple car loads to the dump or to drop off at donation centers- without leaving us any piles or leftover items to worry about disposing of later. At one point they literally completely disassembled and reassembled multiple furniture items to help switch our guest room and nursery. Their feedback and insights into how to create better systems for organization were so helpful - I can’t wait to use them to continue organizing other spaces in my house. They completely exceeded my expectations - I cannot recommend these ladies enough!"

Bethany at Next Step Home Organizing helps you clear the clutter, create systems that actually work and bring your home back to a place that feels settled. She arrives with everything needed to transform your rooms into welcoming, organized spaces before the season gets busy.

🧡 A peaceful home is one of the best gifts you can give yourself.
If you want a fresh start before the holidays, give Next Steps a follow and book your consultation. Clarksville neighbors swear by her work.

Not all of us have great experiences at places we visit. That's a given in life. Your experience may vary from ours and we acknowledge that. If yours was awful or completely different, while we see that is unfortunate, that is something we suggest for a manager/owner at the establishment. All of us are all made up of all sorts of experiences, things and opinions. We are all different. We can be all be different here, but it can still work! If we have a terrible experience somewhere, rather than voice that here, we would probably just let it ride. No cool video. No fun check-in. No awesome pictures. No celebration of our experience. We're not trying to bait and switch here. We're just trying to eat, shop, support, interact & bring people together! And what we post are OUR experiences. So that brings us to this...let's set out some ground rules so we all know how to play. Collectively all us could write a book on the DON'Ts of business and the hard knocks....but we are trying to highlight the DO's. The positive. We appreciate your experiences but we are not management. So let's keep the bashing to a minimum. We're trying to have FUN here. And bashing is the opposite of FUN for us. That's not to say your honest opinion will be squashed or suppressed. But there is an acceptable way to voice that opinion. And a way that is not so cool.
