From the three of us—Jasmine, Brandon, and Candy—here’s a little update and a heartfelt ask this Giving Tuesday.

This photo was taken at the end of summer after our Farm-to-Table dinner, where we (and a small army of rockstar volunteers) served 60 guests a 5-course meal made from ingredients exclusively grown within 100 miles of Clatskanie. We were tired but our hearts were so full. Looking back, it feels like a snapshot of everything this past year has held: long days, deep commitment, and a whole lot of community.

This year the Food Hub has grown in ways we’re really proud of. We expanded the retail space, nearly completed our kitchen build out, moved more local food than ever, supported new small businesses, strengthened our wholesale relationships, and spent time learning from other food system organizations across Oregon and around the country. All of it has helped us refine our vision for what a small rural food hub can offer its community.

But the thing we hear from you every day is what guides us most:
you want prepared foods, community meals, more classes, more gathering, more eggs (haha) and a simple café menu made with 100% local ingredients.

That’s exactly what the kitchen will make possible.

The support many of you offered earlier in the year helped us keep steady through a difficult stretch. We’re deeply grateful for that and as we look toward finishing the kitchen, we’re humbly asking for your support once again. Funds received for Giving Tuesday will help us finish the kitchen and hire the help we need to offer all the things you’ve been hoping for.

New goal for 2026 and beyond:

Get as many horses up to the mountain for photoshoots as possible!

This location is probably a new top favorite for portraits AND horses! A unique mountain landscape with gorgeous trees, and that perfect alpine glow! (With a pull through lot for trailer parking!)

Thank you Taylre for loving the crazy idea of combining horses with our gorgeous volcanic landscapes that define the Pacific Northwest.

These photos are sweet memories from this summer, however, we post this as our hearts are with Taylre and her beautiful horse, Pink.

On Taylre's birthday this month, Pink came down with a very severe case of Colitis. She is currently in full time care at OSU actively fighting for her to have the best recovery possible.

This guy, Owen, was a top tier senior session! We get selfish about our hopes and dreams, crossing our fingers that a guy or gal might have interests they want to put on display in their sessions. This round? Freakin' dream session. Brought his truck, a few outfits, photo concepts that inspired and actually compelled him to have an interest in the having his photos taken. The result is one of our favorite male senior sessions to date, using a bunch of the tools in our kit to get a variety of different looks.

This may be obvious, but we want to work with people who have a creative goal in mind! Yes, we can (and often do) provide a creative vision, but the final product is made 10x better when we're helping someone achieve their own vision. This being a specific commentary on personal portraiture - creative or context dependant portraiture is normally 100% our creative playground. For shots like these, we couldn't be more grateful to do what we do! Thanks for being awesome, Owen!

Our bathrooms recently got a bit of a remodel, and we are lacking appropriate entertainment for patrons using the facilities.

We currently have only 6 frames, so we need help picking the top 3 shots of each dog to bestow upon the walls of the throne-room!

I (Sophia) just want to fill the end of my summer with some gorgeous horses and wonderful, talented riders, so we are offering a few dates with special, discounted package options for you and your horse!

*Dates are open for ONE booking of either of the packages listed below. Once the date is booked, it will be removed.*

- Package 1: Solo Mini Session $275
- 40 minutes
- 15 images
- Up to 2 Horses
- Location of your choice

- Package 2: Group Mini Sessions $175/ea
- 20 minutes
- 5 Images
- 1 Horse
- One Location or Barn
- For groups/friends to organize together at one location for a cheaper rate. 3 Horse Minimum. 5 Horse Max.
