If you would like to participate as a performer in Kinfolk Said: The Appalachian Folklife Play to be held in Campton in the newly renovated Historic Campton School on June 24 and June 25, we will be having registration today at the Powell County Public Library from 3-5 PM. We need singers, actors, musicians, scene directors, and storytellers. Participation is free and there will be a free lunch on June 24th. For more information, kinfolksaid.org.

The Kentucky Entrepreneurs' Alliance issues the buy local challenge: Spend at least $50 of your Christmas budget with local merchants. If everyone did this, local business would be thriving. Find local merchants that are not corporate affiliated and spend at least $50 with them.
