I'm seeing all this Joey Swoll drama and it's like every other day there's news about "Some big creator/influencer is canceled now" or "That famous person over there is problematic now" and honestly? All I can really think about...is the harsh reality that millions of you out there are still eating pineapple on your pizza and getting away with it...and that keeps me up at night.

Question for black voice actors! 🎙️

I'm not in that world (yet) but there is something I've been wondering for a long time now. Do any of you catch flack when people find out you're voicing a character who isn't black as well? For example if a black person voiced a white or Japanese character, do you get any criticism for that aspect alone, versus people just focusing on how good (or bad) your performance was for said character?

Can you guys explain to me why some people never believe me when I say I'm from Alabama? I mean, you can literally hear the "Black guy who talks white because he attended predominantly white private schools throughout his entire scholastic career" Southern accent, correct?
