Crystal Stair Publications Art That Touches The Heart In the beginning, there was a huge word document with no name. What do you name it? Once it’s named, what do you do with it?

At the crossroads of dreams and reality a decision was made. Instead of burying the document into the recesses of a dying computer, it lives in the hearts of it readers. On March 7, 2010, J.T. Barber decided to bring her manuscript into ‘reality’. After much advice, planning, and research Crystal Stair Publications was born. That ‘document’ was transformed into a seven book series. Reflections of

a Whisper, the first in the series, was released to the world on September 24, 2011. Through being the avid student of the publishing business, J.T. realized that there were many others who sit at the crossroads lost, without a road map. So with a desire to guide others along the path, she decided to open Crystal Stair Publications to others who passionately wish to carry their dreams into reality.

What can people do to participate and support Plant the Seed?
This winter, people can participate/support by either purchasing books from the book sale, making a monetary donation, or going with us as we visit a Murals of the Mind workshop (future date to be scheduled after the holiday break).

Our 2013 Donation Recipient is Murals of the Mind [Website]. They intend to use the funds donated for their yearly anthology project, publishing the work of the students in the program.

This summer, people can participate by donating children’s reading books for our book drive, making a financial donation, or volunteering to help count, catalog, and deliver books to local schools.

Plant The Seed is a grassroots movement advocating children’s literacy, education, and involvement in the arts. Plant The Seed will be holding two major annual events, a Winter Fundraiser and ‘Turn the Page’ Summer Book Drive. The Winter Fundraiser will allow us to financially contribute to local non-profits whose central mission is aligned with ours. Our ‘Turn the Page’ Book Drive will help us provide reading books to public schools and local children’s organizations.

For our Inaugural Winter Fundraiser, we will be selling a wide variety of books, including books straight from JT’s personal book shelf from December 2012 thru March 2013, in hopes to propel this movement forward. Thirty percent of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to an inspiring organization, Murals of the Mind.
