Good morning, Clayton!

The June issue of Clayton Living is starting to arrive in mailboxes across our community, and we are excited to introduce our cover family, the Lozas.

From coaching youth sports and volunteering in our schools to growing food in their front-yard garden and sharing it with neighbors, Jiska, David, and their children embody what makes Clayton so special. Their story is one of community, kindness, hard work, and putting down roots in a town they truly love.

We hope you enjoy getting to know this wonderful family and all the other stories, student achievements, local events, and community updates featured in this month's issue.

Thank you to our readers, contributors, and sponsors for helping us celebrate the people and connections that make Clayton shine.

Happy reading! 😊

Happy Friday Clayton,

Memorial Day weekend is here. Whether you are staying local, heading out of town, spending time with family, or simply slowing down for a few days, we hope you have a safe and relaxing weekend ahead.

There are also some wonderful local events coming up around Clayton and nearby communities as well.

With the recent fires in the area and dry conditions, please be extra careful this weekend, especially outdoors. Stay safe, travel safely, and take care of one another.

If you have some quiet time over the long weekend, it is also the perfect opportunity to flip through the May issue of Clayton Living. In this issue, we feature the wonderful Brown family, and we are also proud to highlight a historic win for the CVCHS Boys Soccer team — congratulations to the players and Head Coach Guillermo Jara on their first NCS Championship in school history. Check out our Congratulation Clayton article as well.

A limited number of copies are still available at some of our local sponsors and businesses, including Bold Finds, Town & Country Realty, Better Homes Realty, Frontier Salon, JOR Fine Art Gallery, Sip’n Sweet, Cup O’ Jo, R&M Pool Patio, Dr. Rachael Callaway’s dental office, and a few local offices.

If you know a family, neighbor, student, local business, or even a beloved pet who deserves recognition, we would love to hear from you.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Happy Monday Clayton!

So exciting that the May issue of Clayton Living has officially arrived and is starting to make its way into mailboxes around our community.
This month’s cover story features the inspiring Brown family and a powerful reminder that even through life’s hardest seasons, strength, perseverance, faith, and community can carry us forward.

Many local families may also know Heidi through her many years as a dedicated elementary school teacher, where she has made a lasting impact on so many Clayton children and families. Through every challenge, the Brown family has continued to move forward with courage, hope, and gratitude — reminding all of us what community and family are really about.

Thank you to Heidi, Katelynn and Thomas for trusting us with your story and allowing our community to be part of your journey. We hope your story touches many hearts throughout Clayton and beyond.

Inside this issue, you’ll also find local stories, community highlights, trails and outdoor inspiration, youth sports achievements, and more — all celebrating the people and spirit that make Clayton such a special place to call home.

A special thank you to our wonderful local sponsors and business supporters who help make Clayton Living possible each month. Your support allows us to continue sharing local stories and bringing our community together.

We’ll also be placing extra copies around downtown Clayton so more community members can enjoy this special issue. As always, feel free to share the magazine with neighbors and friends so even more people can enjoy these local stories together.

If you receive your copy, feel free to share a photo or let us know which story or local highlight you enjoyed most in this month’s issue.

So this weekend, take a moment to reflect on everything you do, everything you give, and how deeply you are appreciated. Let yourself be spoiled, celebrated, hugged, and cared for a little too. You truly deserve it. 🙏

Whether you’re spending time with family, enjoying brunch or coffee, taking a walk, visiting a local event, or simply slowing down for a quiet moment — enjoy it.

Happy Cinco de Mayo, Clayton!

While often celebrated with great food and gatherings, Cinco de Mayo actually commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla in 1862—a meaningful symbol of resilience and unity.

If you’re heading out this evening, be sure to stop by our sponsor Latin Table — they’re celebrating with a special menu, live DJ, and festive cocktails starting this afternoon. A perfect spot to enjoy the energy of the day!

And of course, there are many other great local spots around town to celebrate as well.

Enjoy your evening, Clayton!
