It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our friend Bruce Dworsky. He has succumb to his 10 plus year battle with cancer on Sunday afternoon.
Bruce has been an Executive Producer at Bluewater since 2017 creating direct to consumer campaigns that drive response with his signature "Buy Now" hook. Professionally Bruce was a ground breaking creative with over 50 years working in television and advertising. For the last 30 years in the Direct Response space, he produced, wrote, and directed hundreds of infomercials and worked on thousands of projects that have been seen my hundreds of millions worldwide. He worked at HSN Direct, Reliant, Thane Direct and owned and operated Jordan Direct for many years. He traveled the world from India to the Iditarod, across Europe to Costa Rica but found home on the beaches of St. Pete. Bruce loved being on set, taught many and collaborated without ego.
Bruce was fun. He loved a martini and good times. His devious smile and big laugh was infectious. Even as he battled cancer for more than 10 years he stayed positive, kept fighting, and kept creating.
Bruce's sense of humor never left him even hanging a sign by his office door that said "Unless it’s fatal, it's no big deal."
"Buy Now" you realize that you should live each day to the fullest like he did. "Buy Now" you know you need to enjoy being in the moment like he did. And certainly "Buy Now" you know to tell the ones you love how much you care.
Please keep his daughters and grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this loss.
By now you all know how much we will all miss our friend Bruce.
