The cast is OFF and Pip's appetite is officially BACK!
I don't even have to open the bag anymore. The second he sees the Dentastix, he turns into a little
tap dancer. 🕺 Look at those paws go!
Seeing him this happy and energetic after everything he went through at the vet just fills my heart.
The way he licks his lips at the end... he is so ready for his favorite treat. 😋

He just wants to sit with me.
Pip walked over to his little stairs to get on the couch, just like he does every day. But he forgot about the cast.
Watching him try to lift that heavy leg and tripping backwards... he looked so confused.
That moment he rests his chin on the bottom step is him accepting defeat. He knows he can't do it anymore.
I lifted him up immediately. He is currently getting VIP elevator service everywhere.

Pip got his favorite dental chew, but when he tried to hold it between his paws like he always does, it just kept slipping.
You can hear the hard clack of the bone hitting his plaster cast. He has zero grip on that side.
Watching him try to pin it down and failing... the frustration just took over. When he laid his chin on the rug and looked at me, my heart broke into a million pieces. He feels so useless.
Don't worry, I sat with him and held the bone for 20 minutes so he could chew it comfortably. My poor little guy.

He might be 120 pounds of pure muscle, but right now, he is just a terrified little puppy. 😣
Tank had to get his paw bandaged today. When he sat on that clinic floor, shaking, and slowly lifted his giant, heavy paw up to me to ask for help... I completely lost it.
Hearing that tiny, high-pitched whimper coming from such a massive chest is the most heartbreaking sound in the world. He doesn't understand why he hurts; he just knows he wants his Mama.
Seeing a tear roll down that big, blocky face destroyed me. We are going home to cuddle on the floor because he's too scared to jump on the couch.
Let’s fill the comments with some love for this Gentle Giant! He needs to know what a brave boy he is today. ❤️🩹

Muscle memory is breaking my heart today.
Pip's ball rolled under the couch, and out of pure habit, he tried to use his left paw to fish it out.
You can hear the heavy thunk of his cast hitting the wood... it's just too bulky to fit in the gap anymore.
When he pulled his arm back and just laid his cheek on the floor in defeat? I lost it. He looked at me like "Mama, my arm is broken."
I fetched the ball for him and we are playing on the open rug now. No more under-the-couch games for a few weeks! 🧸❤️

We are setting up the oxygen at home. Pip is struggling to keep his oxygen levels up. The way the mask fogs up with every little breath he takes... it just shows how hard his tiny body is working.
You can see the fear in his eyes. He doesn't understand why he has to wear this mask, but he knows it helps him breathe.
Please, just one prayer for his lungs tonight. We need a miracle.

It’s Skincare Sunday, which means I have to wipe Pip's little face and tear stains with a damp cotton pad. It doesn't hurt him AT ALL, but you would think I am torturing him!
Look at the way he shrinks back into his towel burrito... he was trembling over a wet wipe. And then he literally squeezed his eyes shut and forced out a tear to make me feel guilty.
He looked right at the camera like, "Someone call doggy CPS, my mom is cleaning my face." 🛑🛁
Who acts like this when it's bath time!

A little scrape, nothing we can't fix."
Pip had a little accident and scraped his paw, so we had to make a quick trip to the vet. Look how incredibly tiny his little foot is inside the doctor's gloves!
I was so worried he was going to panic, but he just sat there and let them wrap him all up. He is so much braver than his Mama is. The way he looked at me at the very end... it was like he was asking, "Did I do a good job?"
Yes you did, my sweet boy. Now it's time to go home and get spoiled with treats.

Pip needed a bath, but he acts like I’m dipping him in acid. Look at how tiny he is when he's wet... he’s just skin and bones!
The way he shivers... you can literally hear his little teeth chattering.
That look at the end says "Why would you do this to me, Mama?"
He is currently wrapped in three hot towels getting a massage.
