Episode 676 is out everywhere or on patreon.com/wheelersdog ...

Do T-shirts give someone that you don't know instant credibility?

I talk about that along with our bottom freezer fridge and a review of a movie suggested my a listener, 'Hundreds of Beavers'.

What kind of T-shirt gives a complete stranger instant credibility??

The debut Stankwell Falls album is out with NEW SONGS! Stream it just about anywhere including YouTube! And give that page a follow! 😁

Some people inherit a family business. Ira Hatch IV inherited an apple orchard. Then he sold it.

According to Ira, the decision was easy: "Trees don't applaud solos."

After liquidating generations of family land and enough apple trees to keep several pie festivals in business, he set out to become the next outlaw country legend. Financial advisors called it reckless. Ira called it "crop rotation."

When he's not wringing twang-soaked guitar riffs out of an amplifier that probably smells like old to***co and poor decisions, Ira enjoys collecting vintage airsickness bags from airlines around the world. He insists they're "tiny pieces of aviation history." Everyone else insists they're tiny paper bags.

His hobbies also include carrying enough fi****ms while walking his property to convince wandering picnickers that there are far friendlier meadows elsewhere. Ira has never actually fired a shot at a trespasser. The expression on his face has always been sufficient.

His favorite meal is a toasted garlic bread sandwich loaded with peanut butter, mayonnaise, and fresh tomatoes—a culinary decision that has baffled scientists, nutritionists, and several emergency room physicians.

His most embarrassing moment happened as a teenager when he finally worked up the courage to call his girlfriend and end their relationship. After delivering a heartfelt, emotional breakup speech, the person on the other end quietly replied, "Son... this is her daddy." Thanks to an unusually high-pitched voice and one too many beers, Ira had spent five solid minutes explaining why the relationship wasn't working to her drunken father, who reportedly cried harder than the girlfriend ever did.

Today, Ira remains committed to making unforgettable music, questionable sandwiches, and absolutely certain no one mistakes his property for a public picnic area.

Ira wants to let you know that you're cordially invited to stream the NEW album 'Hampton Hellcats' just released by his band Stankwell Falls. So crank it up while enjoying a delicious Stankwell Falls Fizz mixed drink!

That Monroe Kimball! What a character!

That Monroe Kimball! What a character!

Every band has that one guy who couldn't have been created by a normal childhood. For Stankwell Falls, that's Monroe Kimball.

Raised in the family carpentry business, Monroe spent his formative years mastering the fine art of building deluxe chicken coops. While other kids dreamed of becoming astronauts or athletes, Monroe dreamed of giving hens a quality place to roost. To this day, he can identify three different kinds of cedar by smell and still insists every great song starts with "a solid foundation."

When he's off the road, Monroe can usually be found hunting down vintage board games—a hobby that absolutely nobody asked for but one he's pursued with alarming dedication. If there's an old Monopoly set from 1978, he's probably already trying to trade for it.

His culinary tastes are just as questionable. While most musicians survive on pizza and beer, Monroe proudly declares beef liver to be the greatest food ever created. His bandmates disagree... loudly.

If money were no object, Monroe's dream vacation wouldn't be some tropical island. Nope. He'd head straight to Myrtle Beach Bike Week, proudly rolling in on his meticulously restored Schwinn, confusing bikers and beachgoers in equal measure.

As for his most embarrassing moment? Well... let's just say there was a cat's wedding and a shocking lack of communication that resulted in Monroe accidentally hooking up with a cousin. It's a story he desperately hopes nobody asks him about—though somehow it keeps ending up in band bios.

Fortunately, Monroe's guitar playing and singing is much better than his decision-making, which is probably why Stankwell Falls keeps him.

Monroe wants you to keep streaming the single "Heaven On A Bench Seat" and a reminder that the full album 'Hampton Hellcats' will be released next Wednesday on July 8th.
