My VIP waitlist is GROWING, and I haven't even told anyone when we're going yet!

Hi friends! 👋 If we haven’t met yet, I'm Shannon of Defying Limits Travel, an Accessible Travel Agency owner in Central Florida. I'm working on my FULLY Gluten free escorted small group trip TO THE GALAPAGOS for early 2028, and I'm getting VERY excited about what's coming together! 🐢

I am chartering an ENTIRE luxury yacht… Not a few cabins on somebody else's sailing, the entire boat for 16 of us, with one galley, and the same chefs. There will be no shared prep surfaces. There will be no one else's dietary profile in the kitchen but OURS. I'll be traveling with the group, and I'll personally handle all of the arrangements from start to finish. You just get to show up and experience it.

I'm working on finalizing the itinerary for just a little longer, but I CAN tell you this trip is for people who want:
▪️BIG bucket list moments
▪️To eat the most amazing, Michelin star level food, experience the wildlife you can’t see anywhere else in the world, and DO the amazing things without spending months figuring out how to make it all happen
▪️I'm intentionally keeping the guest list small.. we need the RIGHT group of people and enough free time to actually enjoy where we are.

The first issue of Concierge Notes went out this morning. It is a weekly note from Shannon with one property she has personally verified and what she learned that week.

There is also a group trip for early 2028 in the works, and the destination is still a secret, except for the email waitlist, who learns where we are going tomorrow. Everyone learns on Monday, September 14.

Labor Day is supposed to be a day off.

For a lot of travelers with celiac, it is not. It is eating before you arrive so you have a cushion, bringing a covered plate, tracking which tongs touched which platter, and telling people you are already full when you are not.

That watching is work, and it does not stop for holidays. It does not stop on vacation either, which is the part almost nobody plans for.

At Defying Limits Travel, the kitchen work happens before anyone arrives, in writing, with cross contact protocols confirmed rather than a note on a reservation.

Imagine explaining this job I chose that people think is extinct...
"So what do you do?""

Well, I convince people to stop waiting until retirement to enjoy their lives.
I encourage grown adults to use their PTO.
I spend my days explaining that yes, travel insurance is important.
I talk people out of terrible flight schedules.
I prevent vacation overstimulation.
I decode airline nonsense.

I gently remind people that their Facebook friend who took a cruise in 2011 is not, in fact, a travel expert.

And somehow this is an actual business... that some of y'all ignore and book all your own s**t. 😂

But annnnnieeeways, if you enjoy travel stories, travel hot takes, and watching me occasionally meltdown because of a hurricane, come join my private group.

This is exactly why every Defying Limits trip begins with a conversation, not a quote.

Travel Advisor Hot Take from the only person in your feed who keeps it real...

Life is too damn short for 💩 vacations. The cheapest option is often the most EXPENSIVE mistake so let's slow down before we hit the "book now" button.

I'm not just talking about money...
I'm talking about missed experiences, overstimulation, bad locations, horrible food, time of year, terrible flight schedules, rooms that don't work for your needs, wasted vacation days, and vacation REGRET.

I have a favor to ask. I took a Facebook Groups training and I have a bossy ass coach... she SAYS I can tell you that I'm a small business & sometimes I need some help growing my reach. BUT, I cannot stand PUBLIC ass groups where everyone can see all my opinions and stuff, so... I started a private group.
Some of you are already in it & you're now my favorite. She says it's ok for me to ask for help getting the word out & I promise this is NOT an MLM recruiting plan.

I book vacations for a living... and I'm TRYING to make it work. This whole post disgusts me.

But... if you've ever laughed at one of my travel posts... learned something... considered "picking my brain"... I don't know... SOMETHING... Invite your people into my private group.
