She turned Candy Land into a surveillance state! 🤣

Our 5 year old daughter decided that Candy Land needed strict oversight, so she placed a silver toy and a pink eraser on the board as "pretend camera devices" to monitor all the players. If you don't follow the rules, the cameras catch you and send you back to the start!

Turns out, listening to the news talk about Flock cameras and local privacy controversies made an impression on Sophia! 😆 Reminder to myself: she’s always listening and paying attention!

Funky Pepper Parts & Learning Knife Skills: Easy Veggie Skewers for Grilling 🫑

Labor Day weekend is all about grilling, and getting kids involved in the kitchen makes it even more special! Watch my daughter, Sophia, practice her "claw hand" safety while using her kids knife set to chop bell peppers and prep our cookout veggies.

We used McCormick Grill Mates Zesty Herb mix combined with oil, water, and vinegar to create an effortless, flavor-packed marinade right in the storage bags. Not only is this a fun sensory activity for kids, but it’s also an amazing way to teach them about healthy eating and kitchen confidence.

Ingredients Used:
-Fresh green, red and yellow bell peppers
-Red onions
-Zucchini
-Yellow Squash
-Wooden skewers (soaked in water for the grill)
-McCormick Grill Mates Zesty Herb Marinade Mix
-Water, oil, and red w**e vinegar
-Grill the veggies with direct heat for 10-15 minutes, rotating each skewer occasionally throughout the grilling time.

Dying right now because last night, Andrew got to meet Angie K! - our favorite Real Housewife on Bravo 😍🇬🇷

If you know me well, you know that I am the ULTIMATE Bravo fan. I was lucky enough to attend the very first BravoCon in NYC (like going to the original Woodstock) when they announced the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Angie K is our favorite housewife because she values family, she’s open and she is kind. But she also comes up with some of the best lines on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City! On the show, we enjoy seeing her being a mom, business owner, and seeing her dad. Plus, we loved when she took the cast to Greece!

Thank you for the sweet note, Angie! It’s going in a frame on our bookshelf so I can look at it and smile knowing you were cool to Andrew when he told you I’m a super fan! ❤️

I guess asking the teacher is never a bad idea! 😁

A lot goes into packing lunch for kindergarten! Quality-control taste tests, wholesome produce choices, almost forgetting the silverware and the sudden realization that her lunchbox weighs more than she does. And the school said to provide two snacks, so I guess she is afraid to go over that number! 😂

School Lunch Prep: What will she choose to pack for her first day? 😁

Watch my little girl officially graduate to Kindergarten by packing her very own first-day-of-school lunch all by herself. From picking the snacks to the final zipper, she is totally ready for the big leagues.

And the good thing about having her involved, she came home with an empty lunch box! Success!

Details on what we packed:
-Bowtie pasta with pesto and tomato sauce
-Mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, green beans and corn)

My husband’s reaction at the end made this purchase worth it! 🤣🍇

We finally jumped on the trend and tried the viral frozen Sour Grapes by Fruit Riot! Are they actually as sour as everyone says? You’ll have to watch to see our reactions and the crazy faces we made! These have seriously unreal sour flavor, but the best part is they are real frozen fruit!

Will they become friends? Backyard deer vs. turkeys (The rematch!) 🦌🦃

It’s happening AGAIN! After their epic first encounter two weeks ago, the baby deer and the turkeys are back in the yard for round two.
Watch as the little deer charge out of the woods, mama turkey flies in to lay down the law, and...

Absolutely nothing changes because they all just decide to peacefully share the buffet instead. The losers in this rematch are my bushes 🤣

“This is harder than it looks!” 😂 Knife skills with a five year old.

We are teaching our five year old how to cut fruits and vegetables. We bought her a safe kid’s knife set that includes a chef’s knife and a pairing knife, so she could learn how to prep food in the kitchen. She enjoys eating dinner more when she helps cook it!

Watch her prep the cucumber, tomato and avocado salad with a little help from Dad. Chef Sophia is officially in training!
