We finally jumped on the trend and tried the viral frozen Sour Grapes by Fruit Riot! Are they actually as sour as everyone says? You’ll have to watch to see our reactions and the crazy faces we made! These have seriously unreal sour flavor, but the best part is they are real frozen fruit!

My daughter is officially teaching her dad a life lesson! She had some strong feelings about the way he expressed his food opinion and let him know exactly what she thought!

Will they become friends? Backyard deer vs. turkeys (The rematch!) 🦌🦃

It’s happening AGAIN! After their epic first encounter two weeks ago, the baby deer and the turkeys are back in the yard for round two.
Watch as the little deer charge out of the woods, mama turkey flies in to lay down the law, and...

Absolutely nothing changes because they all just decide to peacefully share the buffet instead. The losers in this rematch are my bushes 🤣

“This is harder than it looks!” 😂 Knife skills with a five year old.

We are teaching our five year old how to cut fruits and vegetables. We bought her a safe kid’s knife set that includes a chef’s knife and a pairing knife, so she could learn how to prep food in the kitchen. She enjoys eating dinner more when she helps cook it!

Watch her prep the cucumber, tomato and avocado salad with a little help from Dad. Chef Sophia is officially in training!

SHE’S HEARD THE CALL…of basketball! 🏀 🧜‍♀️

Sophia is working on her dribble because there’s a new team in our city and we are so excited! The Cleveland Sirens are the new WNBA team and they revealed their official name today.

We can’t wait to take Sophia to a game so she can see a team full of strong women play the game that she loves!

How many will she try on before we find the perfect pair? 😁

Sophia is getting her FIRST pair of glasses, but shopping with 5-year-old is basically the modern version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears! Sophia took it very seriously. Frame after frame, none of them were just right. Watch to see her finally find the winner and see us pick up her new finished glasses - total success!

It’s Fajitas Night, and I’m feeling right! Kool & the Gang may not approve of me messing up the lyrics, but we are having fun 😂

We are celebrating Fajita Night the only way we know how: with extra veggies, a secret marinade (McCormick’s Grill Mates Mojito Lime that our dear friend Ruth told us about - it’s sooooo good), and a musical remix of one our our favorite bands, Kool & the Gang’s Ladies’ Night, courtesy of the whole family.

WHAT did she learn at school? 😆🙌

My 5-year-old is schooling me on culinary terms now! 🤌 I didn’t know this term until I started watching Top Chef back in the day! Who knew I’d be getting fine-dining food science lessons from Sophia at dinner? Well, maybe some of you would have predicted it!

Sophia broke down the definition of "umami” - that rich, savory, "meaty" fifth taste you get from things like cheese and cooked meats. We were eating BBQ salmon and lentils with rice when she informed me we were eating umami-tasting food right now, and gave her official flavor approval. Let's just say her school is doing a good job in my book!

They are completely ignoring the news about leafy greens! 🥗😂

The baby deer are back again this morning! After yesterday's backyard drama with the turkeys, they returned for some morning breakfast. Unfortunately, nobody updated them on the current salad situation. Eat at your own risk, little guys!

I had NO idea what was going to happen with this backyard standoff! You never know what kind of entertainment you're going to get looking out the window.

Two baby deer crept closer and closer to the turkeys, and I thought they were going to become best friends. Let’s just say mama turkey had other plans!
