The Spanish American Committee will be hosting a Housing Fair on Saturday July 28th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at 4407 Lorain Avenue . The Housing Fair will provide the following information and education for individuals who desire to purchase a home for first time homeowner and how to avoid a foreclosure and to resolve credit issues.

DUTIES: Under the direction of the Deputy General Manager-Human Resources, manages all aspects of the employment and recruitment activities of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. Develops and implements strategic plan for employment process including interviewing, selecting, testing of skill competencies and job fairs. Reviews employment policies and procedures. Collaborates with user departments on various employment issues. Interfaces with training function regarding new employee orientation. Supervises employment staff. Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or related area, including coursework in basic and advanced human resource management, employment law, organizational behavior, quantitative analysis and research. Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in recruitment, employment, selection and other related human resources functions such as compensation and benefits. Experience must include recruitment programs, tracking and monitoring a variety of employment data, significant involvement in filling job vacancies, preparing and analyzing statistical reports related to employment and staffing, and interviewing candidates. Experience must also include three (3) years supervising employees. Applicants must have knowledge of federal laws and applicable requirements related to employment including FLSA, Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and must be proficient in using a computer to analyze data and prepare reports. Applicants must be proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have experience using Human Resource Information Systems (e.g. Oracle, PeopleSoft).



STARTING SALARY RANGE: $58,747 to $77,840 annually

Claims Investigator 603



DUTIES: Responsible for efficient case management of claims docket assigned; includes response to accident scene if required, investigation of file, other adjusting duties such as communication with all appropriate parties determination of case reserves, and closure or settlement claims filed against the Authority. Consults with Supervisor, Claims Manager, Director of Risk Management, or DGM Legal Affairs for settlement authority as directed by GCRTA policy. Prepares all material pertaining to the specific case and ensures that the RMIS and hard copy files are kept up to date; ensures that all individuals involved (including lawyers, employees, supervisors) are informed of new developments and claim status. For litigated cases, prepares case docket letters, attends pre-trials, depositions, arbitrations, mediation hearings and trials and assists GCRTA attorney.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a high school diploma/GED. Associates Degree in a related field and/or business administration is preferred. Applicants must also have successfully passed the AIC 33 and AIC 36 Insurance Institute of America adjusting courses or will be given up to 18 months to take and pass such courses after entering the position. Applicants must have three (3) years of verifiable progressive experience in accident claims investigator/adjuster duties, including negotiation of claims with claimants and/or their attorneys. Duties require a basic knowledge of medical and legal terminology. Must possess excellent oral and written communication abilities including legal document writing. Must have strong interpersonal skills capable of dealing with all levels of personnel including claimants, attorneys and other involved parties. Must have good computer skills and the ability to effectively learn new software in a timely manner. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a clean driving record. The performance of these duties may be required at any time of the day or night, any day and night of the week. The position is a bargaining unit position.



Examination Information: Candidates selected to participate in the hiring process will be notified of the exact time and place of the examination. The examination process will consist of three parts: a written examination, performance assessment and/or interview, and record evaluation (for internal candidates only). Candidates must attain a minimum of 70% on all parts of the process, except 60% on the interview portion, to move forward in the process.



Weights for a final score will be assigned as follows: Weights for a final score will be assigned as follows for internal candidates: Written 50%, Performance Assessment and/or Interview 35%, Record Evaluation 15%. All candidates must score a minimum composite score of 70% in order to establish eligibility for the portion. · 3 or more active written reminders (regardless of the level)

Wage Rate: $18.76 per hour

DUTIES: The Legal Secretary for the Litigation Section is responsible for managing the litigation docket of the litigation attorneys, preparing all pleadings, briefs, motions and related correspondence to be filed with various courts, and other administrative and secretarial duties as assigned. Works independently under the direction of the litigation attorneys and under the supervision of the Deputy General Counsel/Litigation. Examples of administrative and secretarial duties: i. e. type pleadings and briefs; schedule court reporters; answer telephone calls; respond to visitors; process mail, new lawsuits, bills, purchase requisitions, and subpoenas; perform general filing duties; follow record retention process in the archiving and retrieval of documents; provide cross-sectional secretarial coverage and perform other duties of a similar nature as may be required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Applicants must have two (2) years previous experience as a litigation secretary or five (5) years experience as a legal secretary handling other matters. Applicants must have knowledge of legal terminology and familiarity with duties such as composing and drafting memos, letters, reports, typing on a personal computer, scheduling appointments and maintaining litigation attorneys’ calendars. Must be a Notary Public or have the ability to obtain commission. Applicants must type 70 WPM and preferably take dictation. Applicants must be proficient in using a personal computer and office software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint RiskMaster, GroupWise, Oracle, eCopy Paperworks and other software).

SALARY RANGE: $32,826 - $43,494

The complimentary student salon services will be available on the following days:

Staff and students in the Re*****on College Cosmetology Program will provide the following services:
