Mississippi is making history.

Dr. Kollin Napier, Director of the Mississippi Artificial Intelligence Network - MAIN, joined Governor Tate Reeves, representatives from NVIDIA, and Accelerate MS today to announce a major step forward. Mississippi has officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with NVIDIA to expand AI education, workforce development, and innovation statewide.

This is a landmark moment for Mississippi, and MAIN has led the way from the start.

As the nation’s first and only statewide AI initiative, MAIN planted the seed for this effort and continues to lead AI strategy, education, and workforce initiatives across the state. Today’s announcement reflects the impact of that vision and the power of statewide collaboration with Governor Reeves, AccelerateMS, the Mississippi Development Authority, and our community colleges and universities.

Together, we are making AI accessible to every Mississippian by training students, educators, and workers in the skills of tomorrow and supporting industries like agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy.

This is only the beginning. MAIN is proud to lead this work and continue building an AI-powered future for all of Mississippi.
