Our discussion on the Wisdom of Intellectualism continues. Enjoy!
An intellectual is someone whose mind watches itself – Albert Camus
James 1:5-8 (ERV) - Do any of you need wisdom? Ask God for it. He is generous and enjoys giving to everyone. So he will give you wisdom. But when you ask God, you must believe. Don’t doubt him. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is blown up and down by the wind. People like that are thinking two different things at the same time. They can never decide what to do. So they should not think they will receive anything from the Lord.

We continue our discussion on the Wisdom of Agapism. Enjoy!
John 15:12-14 (NIRV) - Here is my command. Love one another, just as I have loved you. No one has greater love than the one who gives their life for their friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.
I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word – Martin Luther King, Jr.

We celebrated Valentine's Day a couple of weeks ago and with love still in the air, today we start a new discussion on the Wisdom of Agapism. Enjoy!
Agapism, which derives its name from the Greek word “agape” meaning “love”, is a deontological system of ethics consisting of one simple command: in every situation, do the loving thing, whatever that may be (moralphilosophy.info).
"We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone" – Orson Welles

Job 12:7-10 (ERV) - But ask the animals, and they will teach you. Or ask the birds of the air, and they will tell you. Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you. Or let the fish in the sea tell you their wisdom. Everyone knows that the Lord made these things. Every animal that lives and everyone who breathes— they are all under God’s power.

Matthew 6:26-30 (ERV) - Look at the birds. They don’t plant, harvest, or save food in barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them. Don’t you know you are worth much more than they are? You cannot add any time to your life by worrying about it. “And why do you worry about clothes? Look at the wildflowers in the field. See how they grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that even Solomon, the great and rich king, was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers. If God makes what grows in the field so beautiful, what do you think he will do for you? It’s just grass—one day it’s alive, and the next day someone throws it into a fire. But God cares enough to make it beautiful. Surely he will do much more for you.

Today we continue our discussion on the Wisdom of Agathism. Enjoy and share!
Agathism, The doctrine that all things ultimately tend towards good, although the means by which this comes about may be evil, unpleasant, unfortunate, etc. - Oxford Dictionary

2 Corinthians 12:8-10
(ERV) - I begged the Lord three times to take this problem away from me. But the Lord said, “My grace is all you need. Only when you are weak can everything be done completely by my power.” So I will gladly boast about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can stay in me. Yes, I am glad to have weaknesses if they are for Christ. I am glad to be insulted and have hard times. I am glad when I am persecuted and have problems, because it is when I am weak that I am really strong.

Socialism: a social and economic doctrine that calls for public rather than private ownership or control of property and natural resources. (Encyclopedia Britannica).

1 John 3:17, 18 - Suppose a believer who is rich enough to have all the necessities of life sees a fellow believer who is poor and does not have even basic needs. What if the rich believer does not help the poor one? Then it is clear that God’s love is not in that person’s heart. My children, our love should not be only words and talk. No, our love must be real. We must show our love by the things we do.
