Meet our audio engineer, Jacob Kirkwood!

Jacob Kirkwood is a producer, engineer, composer, and drummer based in Cleveland, Ohio. With over a decade of experience as a producer/engineer, he has with worked with artists at both the national and local level. A few of his credits include Elvis Depressedly, Niights, Buck McDaniel, Item, Total Downer, Lilieae, and many more. As a composer, he has written music for several MTV shows, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland Public Theatre, and an array of short films.

Superior Sound is a 13,000 square foot space that hosts three recording studios and a fully equipped video editing suite. Home of Legendary Producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Jack’s Mannequin, Lake Street Dive) and Jim Stewart (Welshly Arms, Lighthouse and the Whaler, JD Eicher) and Bill DeMarco/Jon Richey of Vuture Studios (audio/video) make up this collective of industry professionals working in facilities comprised of a collection of legendary analog and digital gear. We strive to provide artists with a superior sounding record while providing a comfortable and creative environment.
