🗳️ Advance in-person voting for the June 16, 2026 General Primary Runoff will be held June 8–12 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.

Election Day voting will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at your assigned polling place.

Voters can view sample ballots, check voter registration status, and confirm their Election Day polling location at mvp.sos.ga.gov.

Georgia drivers, Governor Brian Kemp's suspension of the gas tax is set to expire tonight at midnight, Tuesday, June 2. Gas up while you can! The tax has saved Georgians about 33 cents per gallon for regular fuel and 37 cents per gallon for diesel over the past several weeks.

Fire Station 9 represents a major investment in public safety for the Mount Yonah community and surrounding areas. This project was fully funded through SPLOST, meaning it was completed with no additional property tax burden on residents, and was constructed under the management of Precision United of Cleveland.

The new station will improve fire protection coverage for more than 1,500 structures, help reduce response times, and strengthen emergency services in one of White County’s growing areas. Many property owners may also see benefits through improved fire protection classifications.

As White County continues to grow, Fire Station 9 helps ensure we are prepared to meet the needs of our citizens and visitors now and in the future.

You may have seen recent news about water quality on the Chattahoochee — we want to clear things up! Cool River is located at the headwaters of the Chattahoochee in Helen, GA, meaning we're at the very beginning of the river. The E. coli issue affecting areas further south does not impact our section of the water. We're open every day and the river is just as clean and beautiful as ever. Come float with us!
