Slow down, Cleveland! There are mini police officers in training checking your speed. They're also running an obstacle course, learning gun safety, hanging out with the SWAT team, learning about hostage negotiation, and so much more. The Junior Law Enforcement Academy is finishing up a second week of fun at the Cleveland Worship Center.

National bird makes its appearance in Helen. This bald eagle and a companion have been spotted by walkers on the Helen to Hardman Trail. Sitting high in trees overlooking the river, the couple was not quite 100 yards apart. Maybe they've heard about the fishing. (Photo/Linda Erbele)

Last night, a large group of invited guests was treated to a stunning preview performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream on the campus of the Sautee Nacoochee Center. This show literally sprawls across the Center campus, which has been transformed into a magical forest and a kingdom with wondrous side trips into realms of the imagination. It's one of the most creative and ambitious live productions White County has ever seen, created by a team of some 60 people (actors, production team, volunteers, etc.). If there are any tickets left, you'll find them through snca.org. If not, get in line for next year!
