Regrettably, the strip is delayed. Yesterday was my birthday (Yay, maybe.) and for my gift I got the flu. Not bad enough to prevent my going to my day job (as one must) but bad enough that after the day at the day job, I simply collapsed. On the whole, still better than the *other* gift I seem to have gotten for my birthday, "thumb arthritis". (Not the name of a metal band. Wish it was.)

Expect the next peek in to the Barony of Strange Sea on... Saturday, I think. Thank you for your patience.

105 - Born Romantic (TUE 21OCT2025)

There are a lot of reasons that Tiffany and Rickie-chan accompanied Kyle to “this Society thing”.
First, Kyle invited them.
Second, Kyle needs a lot of looking after. (Honestly, would you let him out alone? Come on!)
Third, like a lot of people who first find the Society, they’re looking for something.
The estimable Lord Puck probably wasn’t what Tiffany had planned to find today, but if Fate is being generous, Tiffany will definitely help herself!

Thank you for being here for this milestone - 100 strips! For the longest time, I thought I'd never start this project, and I'm grateful for the friends and strangers who've chosen to follow it regularly. Your reactions and comments mean so much to me!

I'd like to thank my friends for their encouragement, and I most especially have to thank my lovely wife Linda Merchant Pearce for being my first reader, my best inspiration, my keenest art critic and teacher, and my best supporter in this (and so many other) endeavors.

If I stay on schedule The Strange Sea Chronicles #200 should be out FRI 11SEP2026. Or thereabouts, I promise!

99 - The Last Word (SAT 20SEP2025)

Of course the cat gets the last word in the matter.

And here endeth our "Post-Great-War" event interlude with Lady Zoe dragging herslef and her laundry back from The Biggest Event in the Whole Darned Society...

"The Strange Sea Chronicles #100" will return us to the Barony of Strange Sea's "Tournamente of the Aprille Shoures" event which, paradoxically, is being held on a sunny Saturday in May. (For reasons that may include the Julian/Gregorian calendar disparity, a persistent flaw on the Kingdom of Centralia's website, and a scheduling SNAFU regarding the knighting of a popular gentleman at a nearby event for which the Minister of the Calendar has not yet fully apologized to the Crown...)

This is a bonus strip, so expect the next Chronicle on Tuesday 23SEP2025!
