Cleveland Media Association The Cleveland Media Association meets the first Friday of every month at Jenkins Deli.

Membership in the Cleveland Media Association is paid annually at the beginning of each year. A single, Regular Membership is $50, Corporate Single is $60, and Student Membership is $15. Corporate Memberships are $200 for up to five (5) members, or $300 for up to ten (10) members.

Aaron Weatherford is the Communications and Marketing Director at the Chamber. He works with all areas of the Chamber to keep Chamber membership and the community informed of all activities; promotes the Chamber to the local and regional business community through varied and integrated communications products and services, including overseeing development of all Chamber print and digital communications, maintaining and updating the Chamber website, press releases, newsletters and other print materials, and posts submissions to the Chamber’s online community calendar; acts as liaison with the media, actively engaging, cultivating and managing press relationships to ensure positive media coverage of Chamber programs, special events, public announcements and other projects; administers, maintains and monitors the Chamber’s presence on social media networking sites; provides editorial/creative assistance to all divisions of the Chamber.

Reasons to Write: An Author's Journey

🏃‍♂️ Guest Speaker: Cameron Fisher

Have you ever wondered what it takes to turn a personal journey into a published book? 📖 Cameron Fisher, recently completed a 16-year goal to run a half marathon in all 50 states. That incredible journey led to the publication of his book, "Reasons to Run."

Join us as he shares his experience of writing, publishing, and the lessons learned along the way in "Reasons to Write: An Author's Journey." Whether you’re a writer, runner, or just love a good story, you won’t want to miss this!

Cameron Fisher is Communications Coordinator for the Church of God International Offices and has lived in Cleveland for nearly 50 years. He is active in the community, having served with the Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Rotary Club, and Cleveland/Bradley Greenway. He took up running in 2007 as a fitness routine and it ended up to be life-changing. Combining his love for writing and running, he became an author in 2024.

The meeting will be held at Jenkins Deli, March 7 at 11:30 a.m. Member cost is $15 (meal included), Non-member cost is $25 (meal included). Don't forget to bring those dollar bills to Crow for Cash!

Mark your calendar for our exciting meeting on Friday, Dec. 13, at 11:30 a.m. Tim Henderson will share the latest updates on Cleveland Utilities' Fiber-to-the-Home Broadband Services, showcasing how next-level speed and customer service are transforming the community.

🍽️ Meal: Enjoy a festive Christmas meal catered by Farmhouse Restaurant Cleveland.

Tim Henderson currently serves as the President /CEO of Cleveland Utilities Authority. He grew up in Cleveland/Bradley County and is a graduate of Cleveland High School and East Tennessee State University. His work path began as an Environmentalist for the state of Tennessee. Tim then moved to the Department of Labor, working both with Federal OSHA and the State of Tennessee TOSHA. After spending 8 years as the Director of Safety Compliance for TOSHA, Tim moved to Cleveland Utilities in 1993. His utility path specifically started with guiding the safety, health, and security for all divisions of the organization. In 2000, he was promoted to Assistant Manager of Administrative Services and worked closely with government and community affairs. In 2012, he assumed the role of Vice President of the department, was promoted to Senior Vice President in May 2016, and to his current role as the President/CEO in November 2016.

Tim has served on or continues to serve on the Central Service Association Board, Distributors Insurance Corporation (DIC) Board, Junior Achievement Board, Tree Board, Tennova Board, Life Bridges Board, Planning Commission, Ocoee River Recreation and Economic Development Board, Chamber of Commerce Board, the United Way of the Ocoee Region Board, Southeastern Industrial Development Association (SEIDA) Board, along with other committees for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), Tennessee Valley Public Power Association (TVPPA) and Southeast District Distributors Association (SDPDA).

Tim has a love for people and a passion to enjoy the outdoor creation. He is blessed with three sons, Cole, Conner and Chase.

His reminder is to take one step at a time, live one day at a time, and remember, we are just passing through.
