Very cool to see this one coming out! The trailer for the new HBO documentary Band of Brothers Legacy was just released, with the full documentary streaming September 9 on HBO.

We had the chance to help shoot part of the documentary right here at the Crash Cat studio in Hudson.

Always fun getting to be a part of a project like this, especially one connected to such an iconic series. Looking forward to seeing the finished film!

🎥🎬Excited to share that Making Music from Monsters has been selected as an Official Selection of the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival!

This short documentary explores the unexpected creative journey behind The Return of the Vampire Hustlers from Hell—a fictional 1970s-style horror film that exists only through Derek “D-WREX” Zimmerman’s haunting artwork and the vintage-inspired music of Silas Hite. It’s a story about imagination, collaboration, and how an entire cinematic world can come to life without a single frame of the “film” ever being made.

Directed by Mark Andrew Hamer
Produced by Silas Hite, Derek Zimmerman, and Richard Maurer

We’re honored to be part of this incredible festival and can’t wait to share it with audiences.

Another production in the books.

We wrapped our final day of filming for the Ashley Martinez/Cheerleading documentary in Columbus, bringing together the last pieces of a story we’ve been building over many months. It’s been a privilege to spend time with so many people who have shared their experiences and helped bring authenticity to this film.

A special thank you to Alexa Cowan and St. Francis DeSales High School for welcoming us and allowing us to film on campus.

Now it’s back to the edit as we continue shaping this story.

There is so much more to professional cheerleading than what fans see on game day.

Over the course of this documentary, we’ve had the opportunity to sit down with former professional cheerleaders, dance instructors, fitness experts, and others whose experiences help reveal the dedication, preparation, and discipline required to succeed in this profession.

A sincere thank you to everyone who welcomed us into their homes, gyms, studios, and workplaces to share their stories and help bring this film to life. Every conversation adds another piece to the bigger picture.

Another day, another shoot.

One of the best parts of documentary filmmaking is that every production day is a chance to learn something new. Every person, every story, and every experience offers a different perspective. In many ways, every day on a documentary set is a school day.

Behind the scenes in Cincinnati capturing some of the key interviews for our feature documentary on the world of cheer, dance, health and the pursuit of professional performance.

One of the most rewarding parts of documentary filmmaking is sitting down with people who have lived the experience and allowing their stories, perspectives, and passion to shape the narrative. Every interview adds another layer to understanding the dedication, discipline, and community that exists behind the performances audiences see on game day.

Thanks to everyone who has shared their time, experiences, and expertise as we continue bringing this story to life.
