Dear Whiskey Island Boat Club Members,
Labor Day Weekend is Almost Here!
As we head toward Labor Day Weekend, the Whiskey Island Boat Club Bridge wishes everyone a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled holiday with fair winds, smooth waters, and plenty of sunshine!
Labor Day is a chance to celebrate all the hard work we put in throughout the yearâand we canât think of a better place to enjoy the long weekend than on the shores of Lake Erie with great friends, great views, and a great boat beneath your feet.
And this year, Cleveland's lakefront is going to ROAR!
THE BLUE ANGELS ARE BACK!
Headlining this year's show are the legendary U.S. Navy Blue Angels, bringing their F/A-18 Super Hornets back to Cleveland. Six demonstration pilots will fill the sky with precision formations, opposing passes, high-energy maneuvers, and the famous six-jet Delta Formation.
And from Whiskey Island, we'll have one of the best neighborhoods in Cleveland for taking in the sights and sounds of Air Show weekend!
Whether you're watching from the marina, relaxing on your boat, or heading out on Lake Erie, keep your eyes on the sky. Grab your binoculars and camera, gather your crew, and get ready for one of Cleveland's greatest Labor Day traditions.
â What's Flying in 2026?
This year's announced lineup includes:
đ” U.S. Navy Blue Angels
The stars of the weekend! Their six F/A-18 Super Hornets will perform their signature precision demonstration each show day.

U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo
The Raptor returns to Cleveland, showing off the remarkable maneuverability and power of one of the world's most advanced fighter aircraft.
âïž A 3-for-1 U.S. Air Force Heavy Aircraft Demonstration
Look for the C-17 Globemaster III, KC-135 Stratotanker, and KC-46 Pegasus together in a special demonstration.
đȘ U.S. Army Golden Knights
The Army's precision parachute team is scheduled to bring another kind of high-flying excitement to the lakefront.
Flying is scheduled for approximately 10:00 AMâ4:00 PM each day, although acts and times can change.
A Few Air Show Weekend Reminders for Boaters
Air Show weekend brings lots of extra activity to the Cleveland lakefront, so please make safety part of your weekend plans.
Keep a sharp lookout for other vessels, give yourself extra room to maneuver, make sure your required safety equipment is aboard, and be mindful of any temporary security or navigation restrictions established for the weekend.

The modern Cleveland National Air Show has been a Northeast Ohio Labor Day Weekend tradition since 1964.

The Blue Angels get REALLY close
During portions of their precision demonstration, Blue Angels aircraft can fly just 18 inches apart.

The F-22 is capable of sustained supersonic flight without using afterburnersâone of the technologies that makes it such an extraordinary aircraft.

With Burke Lakefront Airport sitting directly along Lake Erie, boats and waterfront locations around Cleveland provide a uniquely memorable setting for Air Show weekend.
